Unable to meet any schedule or budget. We find ourselves 3 years into construction. We are still not in our house, more than a year after promised. On the budget side they have no control of costs their invoicing is disorganized with costs from over a year ago suddenly appearing.

Conrado Home Builders completed a challenging and complex partial remodel of our home including a total kitchen re-do, HVAC, flooring, 2 bathrooms, laundry rooms, painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and outdoor kitchen. Conrado did a spectacular job with excellent planning and project management, fantastic subs, extraordinary quality and followup. The project also involved some structural engineering. The Conrado ecosystem is invaluable. Completed on time, despite the inevitable unforeseen difficulties remodeling a 30 year old home. We are thrilled with the result. They are the best.

Conrado Home Builders (CHB) built our dream home!
We moved in to the house 5/17. The project was technical and a challenge in many ways. The skill CHB brought to the table was impressive. All facets of the company touch points were felt by my husband & I: CEO, AR, Design, and on a daily basis on-site Project Management. We had several other builders assess the project and we chose CHB for several high level reasons:
1). Quality Quality Quality
2). Proven processes for tracking a complex project
3). People / they're folks are good at what they do
4). Quality again / the outcome is an immediate classic home we love
I'd recommend CHB to anyone with a serious intent on building a special home...

The Conrado Company continually performed at the highest level as general contractors for us on a tremendously challenging and extensive Atherton home reconstruction project. Having worked with Conrado closely for over two years, we recommend them without hesitation. Indeed, we are continuing to use the Conrado team for long term home maintenance. If we undertook another project, no matter how difficult or unique, we would turn to Conrado in a heartbeat.
Challenging Project. Our project involved a complete overhaul of a large two-story historical home that was stripped to the studs, entirely redesigned, reconfigured, and significantly expanded. It also involved new construction of a sizeable stone-covered garden studio/pool house, swimming pool, redesigned driveways, pathways, parking areas, new foundation and new structural support. Among many challenges, the antiquated foundation required a total replacement, by jacking up the house; and the basement was expanded. The result was a completely transformed Federal style house: unique cabinetry and ornamentation; beautiful use of light, vaulted ceilings, and rustic materials; custom millwork, stonework, brickwork, paneling, extensive moldings and arches; historic detailing; and state of the art infrastructure.
Conrado Culture. Clearly Paul Conrado has created a culture of excellence, professionalism, courtesy, and integrity. With construction supervisors in a trailer onsite – and weekly construction meetings with the Conrado team -- we saw them “up close” dealing with the inevitable twists and turns in translating the architect’s imaginative design and our own vision into a beautifully constructed reality. Conrado’s supervisors and budget monitors were meticulous, ingenious, and efficient in solving problems of all sorts. They were uniformly transparent, thorough, responsive, practical, creative, and highly skilled.
Selecting and Managing Subcontractors. Conrado also chose subcontractors who were master craftsmen, responsive, and pleasant to deal with. When a couple subs did not measure up, Conrado made a change without missing a step. Conrado also provided an invaluable bridge between the architect’s vision and the subcontractors’ need for precise technical specifications for manufacture and installation.
Financial Management. Throughout the process, Conrado’s “no surprises” financial modelling was clear, detailed, and accurate. They were flexible and creative in assisting us with “value engineering” where necessary to control or expand budget, helping us understand cost/design trade-offs in making a myriad of decisions. They kept us extremely well informed at every stage, and they were consistently open to our questions.
In the end, Conrado produced a home with highest-level craftsmanship and aesthetics, wonderfully thoughtful and user-friendly systems and features, and a functional, intelligent and comfortable living environment. They were a great pleasure to deal with throughout the entire project.

While I was admittedly nervous going into the remodel as I planned to live in a walled-off room throughout, as we finish the process, I can not sing the praises of the Conrado Company highly enough. The entire team, from the top through every subcontractor was easy to work with, focused on the details, always ready to listen - and actually hear - my requests, perfectionist in execution, flexible and understanding about my budgetary "attention to detail" and most sincerely a wonderful group with whom to work. The remodel and particularly the process itself far exceeded my expectations. How many people can say that after a year-long process?
Were there such a thing, this would be a six star review.

I hired Conrado Home Builders to remodel both the interior and the exterior landscaping for my home. As a busy professional, it was important to me to hire a firm that I trusted to guide me through the entire process; alert me to decisions that needed to be made regarding design decisions and budget. They treated me fairly. The project has just been completed and I can say that I enjoyed the transformation of the house into a home that I am going to enjoy entertaining friends and family.

The Conrado Company provides high quality service as a general contractor. Hired to manage a remodel of our residence. They partnered with our architects, engineers, designers, landscape designer etc., solicited bids, hired and paid subcontractors, provided detailed billings, and managed the project on site with dedicated supervisors during all phases of construction.
The subcontractors they selected are of the highest quality in expertise, craftsmanship and materials. This project is truly custom in every detail. Much of this is directly attributable to The Conrado Company's long standing relationship with the selected subcontractors and suppliers.
Our highest recommendation goes to The Conrado Company for their services in creating a beautiful customized home for us.

It is now about two years since the completion of our historic home remodel. To this day the friendship that developed over the course of planning and building our home remains strong. The Conrado Builders helped us navigate through all the many building and historic meetings at the City of Monte Sereno which is known for well... complexity. Throughout the building process the work was done flawlessly, completely filling all of our expectations . Two years later our plaster walls have no cracks and still look beautiful. the fine workmanship and attention to all the fine details and artistic elements are just what we had desired. We love our completely renovated home and just want to say thank you to Paul Conrado and everyone who is associated with this truly great company!!!!

We recently had a slow drip in the ice cube maker in our kitchen which warped our hard wood floors. Long story short we called a Water Restoration Management Company and in one day they destroyed our kitchen unnecessarily removing cabinets and breaking granite counter tops.
I had known that The Conrado Company builds beautiful high end homes sometimes even with vineyards but I did not know they were in the remodeling business.
They were really amazing helping us negotiate with the insurance company to get a more realistic settlement. It is incredible how many details and sequence of activities have to be orchestrated to keep on schedule. John Swartz, The Conrado Company project lead was so even tempered and all over any open item that came up. John showed real hands on leadership based on his domain expertise in kitchens and cabinets. Many of the sub-contracters had worked with Conrado for years so they are high quality and don't mess around and get in and get out. They are true craftsmen with meticulous attention to detail. Ed Freeman, owner of West Coast Granite and Marble blew us away with the granite counter tops. The Conrado Company owner Paul really goes out of his way to make sure you are happy and communication is daily and weekly.
We lived in the house during the kitchen remodel (not fun) and every day before they went home they cleaned up so we were not inconvenienced.
All in all it was a real positive experience and I would recommend without reservation.

Comentado: Glass wallThe glass wall is part of the window package for the entire home. Size, including 2 - 3' doors at each end, is 19' wide x 10' tall. Pricing is not known for this individual unit. Frames were installed...

Comentado: paint colors on exterior?No longer have that info. House was built about 15 years ago. I believe the windows are not painted. They came with that color frames from the manufacturer, which I think was Sierra Pacific.
