This was my first experience designing and building a home. No matter how well the project is progressing, it can be stressful. Whether answering questions or concerns each member of Jefferson Area Builders gave 100% making sure all was taken care of in a timely manner. It has been my pleasure to work with them and I'm extremely pleased and thankful for my beautiful home they build.

JAB was a wonderful partner in building our home. Mike Sadler and Michael Sadler,Jr. worked with us every step along the way to make sure our custom home was everything that we wanted. Mike and his team were very professional, congenial and the workmanship was sterling. Building a custom home is always a leap of faith, and it was our good fortune to take that leap with Jefferson Area Builders.

Jefferson Area Builders has been wonderful! I just purchased my first home, and it was a new construction! Jefferson Area Builders did an amazing job and was so good to work with. They helped me tailor a home to suit my needs and preferences, and I love it! It is gorgeous! Quinn Beversluis helped me modify layouts and Mike Sadler JR. and SR. and their amazing foreman and team turned it into a reality. All of them are creative and knowledgeable. They put quality workmanship into the details and finishing touches as well. I found a plot of land that I loved, and they worked to help me find the best way to build a dream house that would fit within my budget now, allow for future adaptations and also allow for future enjoyment of the land and the beautiful wooded landscape outside. Everyone who comes to the house comments on the quality and I love being able to share it, even the cable technician asked who built it because they did such an amazing job even with the preparation for internet connectivity! And the crawl space beneath the house is immaculate! My cabinetry and appliances are beautiful, as are the floors and the windows which bring in so much natural light. Things that I would consider luxury came standard. The plumbing and electrical wiring was done so well and even prepped for future modifications that I told them I wanted to make down the road. I love it and am so happy! All of the great craftsman who worked with Jefferson Area Builders were wonderful as well, and I enjoyed getting to meet them when I did. It is solidly built, and elegant. It is a great blessing!

After extensive research, my husband and I chose JAB to custom design our forever home. We found a piece of land that we were interested in building on and Mike Sadler Sr. and Mike Sadler Jr. came out within the week to take a look at the property with us. Upon agreeing that our location was suitable for buliding, JAB was with us every step of the way as we began to customize our home. As we rambled off details we wanted to include, they were ensured to incorporate them in our home and brought life to our ideas in a way we never could of imagined. From ground breaking to completion of the project, JAB was in regular contact with us, updating us on the schedule and agenda each week. As time neared closer to move in, we had regular on-site meetings to finish up final details. Mike Jr. was always available to answer any questions we may have had along the way with a commendable turn around time to email and phone calls in the event he was not immediately available. Now that we have moved and begun to settle in, we cannot imagine having any better of an outcome for our forever home. We are extremely happy with our choice of JAB and are forever grateful for their knowledge and professionalism. We highly recommend Jefferson Area Builders to anybody in the market for building a new home.

Jefferson Area Builders was wonderful to work with, and if we ever build again, would definitely have them do the job. We chose them for their excellent reputation. To be honest, from past experience with contractors, we really didn't expect a good experience, but J.A.B. far exceeded our dreams in quality, time, details, and contact. We lived on the west coast while our home was being built, so just went on hope and reputation. Michael Jr. e-mailed us photos of the progress almost everyday. From day-one, JAB was on the job every day, so not the delays one expects with contractors (often builders take on several homes at the same time, so it takes much longer to get your home built). I'm very particular about carpentry and detail work, and was very pleased with their work - it exceeded our expectations, such as much nicer molding than we expected, flawless painting, and great attention to details. We flew here twice to select flooring, cabinetry, hardware, granite, light fixtures, etc, and to meet with their electrician. There were many things we had to choose that we weren't familiar with, and their knowledge and advice helped tremendously. We ended up with a gorgeous wood flooring that we never heard of, but didn't cost any more than the standard oak, and heated elements under bathroom tile, which we never heard of because we lived in a hot area on the west coast. They also allowed me to make a few changes during the building that any other builder charges an arm and leg for. Anyway, it was a WONDERFUL experience with J.A.B. - we mailed our blueprints, they gave us a price and the allowances to work with, and they built our house steadily. The day we flew here to move in and saw our home for the first time, other than the frequent e-mail photos, was thrilling. To add to the wonderful experience with J.A.B., they followed up afterwards for things that need adjusting later, or if a painter missed a spot, etc. They build an excellent home, it was an excellent experience, and we can't recommend Jefferson Area Builders more highly!

Jefferson Area Builders helped us design and build our home on our property. They where host, helpful, and experienced. During the planning phase they provided solid advice on the best options to invest our money to create our dream home. The job was completed to suit our goals early and on budget. When a very few issues were encountered we talked though options and moved forward in agreement. My wife and I are engineers and we are happy with the quality of workmanship. After the build we consider Jefferson Area Builders as our friends and would suggest them to anyone.

We designed and built our dream home in Afton with the Charlottesville area's most outstanding builder and his team of professionals! Mike Sadler and his son, Michael, were able to take our ideas (from 40+ years of married life moving around during an Air Force career) and transform them into a solid, well-crafted, affordable, attractive home, that worked with our budget and timeline. Their integrity, honesty, and Christian core provided a framework that worked extremely well throughout a ten month (~Nov 2014-Oct 2015) design and construction period for us and every aspect of the many subcontractors working with their on-site supervisor, Corbin Gunsallus. It was an absolute pleasure to go through what many others had told us would be a very trying time to construct a house -- our recommendation for JAB could not be any higher!
