BMV Construction is a fair and honest company that helped us make our dreams of updating our home a reality at a fair price. Bud and Maracruze Villalobos are professionals and easy to work with. Bud went out of his way to make sure that we were happy with the work and quickly responded to our concerns and made things right. I highly recommend BMV construction. Our project was to update our existing home including all new power, plumbing and waste systems, removing a wall between the kitchen and living area and creating a new walk-in closet and primary bathroom. In addition the secondary bathroom and kitchen were renovated and exterior painted. All this was completed while my wife and I remained living (camping) in our home. While this project did take longer than we anticipated, I think much of that was due to us needing to maintain a bathroom at all times and some personal issues that arose. As with all contractors I recommend that you be prepared. Make sure you know what you want before you sign a contract and make sure you are ready with materials that you are to provide well before they are needed.

BMV was extremely professional in bidding, communicating the work schedules and most importantly, completing the project on-time and within their bid price. We also had another problem arise during the project and they were able to make certain that the secondary project worked well before they finished up the original contract. I would highly recommend BMV Construction to anyone contemplating a home improvement project.

We hired BMV to renovate our kitchen which included the removal of a few load bearing walls. The did a phenomenal job. The job wasn't without delays or misques, however the important thing was they wanted to ensure we were satisfied with the final outcome. We will use them again for every single project to come in our home.

Did not deliver the craftsmanship they advertise on their website. Kitchen cabinets were installed by "electrician". All blemishes and accidental scratches on kitchen cabinets were attempted to be covered up by the magic marker that's included with cabinets. I've attempted to contact contractor to have fix some tile and cabinets fixed. The last text message was ignored. I'll be posting images of kitchen cabinets blemishes, bathroom tile grout breaking, aluminum siding around windows, substandard kitchen tile work, along with other images. Attempts to contact me were made only after I posted this review.

After looking at many reviews on contractors in the Whittier and surrounding SGV area on Houzz, Angie's List, HomeAdvisor, and other smaller contractor review sites, we were very impressed with the work and the reviews of BMV Construction and chose their bid over about 3-4 other contractors. While the whole process took a bit longer than expected and started later than I hoped (which is unfortunately the norm for contractors), we are so pleased with the final result! We finally got the dream kitchen that we wanted! Maricruz and Bud as well as their crew did an amazing job. What I appreciated most about them is their communication throughout the project. I would ask questions on what's happening next and would get quick responses. If there were problems or delays, they were upfront with you as to why. Even when there were slight mishaps with the craftsmanship or things weren't exactly the way you wanted them to be, they were quick to respond and rectify the issue. They care about their customers and focus on doing a good job rather than making a profit. Their customer service alone is the reason why we are continuing with them with our small bathroom project. After searching for a contractor for over six months we hired BMV Construction to do a full remodel of our master bathroom and some repairs to a second smaller bathroom, which is handicapped accessible. BMV did a great job on the master bathroom remodel, and the repairs to the accessible bathroom were very well done. Our bathroom turned out beautiful; it feels more like a spa now. Their beautiful workmanship shows that they really know their craft. It is our understanding that most of the work is done by their in-house employees and not contracted out, so this made the scheduling of the work very easy. They did exactly what we asked; the job was done on time, and more importantly on budget, with no hidden fees. It was a pleasure working with everyone at BMV as they are all very pleasant and professional. They were very good at communicating with us and answering all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. I highly recommend them for any job and would hire them again for other projects or repairs around our house.

I hired BMV Construction to do a kitchen remodel and install laminate flooring in the entire house. I was referred to them by my mother-in-law who has used them on many projects at her home. Maricruz put together a few great kitchen plan options for us. She was very knowledgeable and quickly responded to changes we wanted made to the plan. Bud, the owner, managed the project from start to finish. He was very professional and highly experienced. Bud stayed in close contact during the project and always kept me updated on project status and when workers would show up. If I needed him out at the project, he would show up right away. He also made it very easy to make changes to the plan while the job was going on. The workers were always very polite and did high quality work. Overall, the remodel came out great and we are very happy. Cost was very reasonable too and Bud stuck to the budget which was great. I highly recommend Bud and his team.

I wanted to update my kitchen with a new sink and countertops. From measuring, providing samples, dealing with my changes of mind and finally doing the job, I could not be happier. Everything was done as contracted, on budget and on time. My home was disrupted as little as possible and was left as clean and orderly as could be expected at the end of each day. Manny Torres worked with me closely on my choices of design and color and made many great suggestions. Manny was at the job every day to oversee the workmen and provide me with details of each step along the way. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism, workmanship and expertise.

Over the last few months, I spoke to a few people about the potential of repairing our garage roof. Then happened to meet and talk to Manny from BMV Construction, who was doing a remodeling project on a house around the block from us. They were just GREAT!! Their work was wonderful and efficiently completed.. but I was really impressed with the all the communication they provided.. pre-, during, and post-garage roof replacement. And, if I had any questions, I'd call and either get an answer on that call or would get a call right back with the answer. I'm keeping BMV Construction's information handy if/when I do any further work on our home.. AND, no doubt about it, if anyone asks for a great contractor, I'll be passing along their name and phone number. Thank you Manny and BMV Construction!!

I had a leak around my living room window with the last huge rainstorm. Thinking it was the window frame, I got the info from HOUZZ and sought an estimate from Bud at BMV. As soon as he arrived, Bud pinpointed the issue as not being the window frame, but said that the flashing around the outside of the house was leaking into the stucco. When they actually got into the project, Bud came to see me and said that not only was there an issue with the flashing, but that when they removed the old rain gutters, there was NOTHING underneath; no flashing, no stucco...down to the framing. No wonder it leaked, right?! They did a fabulous job repairing it and the estimate remained the same as it was originally. Both Bud and Maricruz were very pleasant to work with and were responsive to my calls. The ONLY reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of scheduling issues that delayed the start and the finish of the job. It probably took a little longer than it should have, but I am confident that they did a good job and the results look extremely professional. I would definitely use them again...thank you so much, BMV!

We were very fortunate to meet up with Maricruz and Bud, owners of BMV Constuction, because they took our vision and wish list and made them come true. We had all three of our bathrooms remodeled, and we are extremely satisfied with the end results...as are our family members who are awestruck when they first see them. Everyone says our bathrooms now look like something from a 5-star hotel. BMV's staff were very professional and respected our house; they always covered our carpets each and every work day. They cleaned up every day and kept the dust to a minimum. They were very flexible in meeting our desires to even repaint our bathroom because we didn't like our first paint selection; it was our fault. They did everything we asked for, albright we did a Change Order for some out of scope work, but they were always very accommodating and professional. We believe the project cost was very reasonable as well. We would definitely use BMV Construction in the future.

BMV Construction did a great job remodeling our three bathrooms. They showed up on time consistently and were very courteous.

We spent quite a while researching a general contractor and interviewed 5 before finally deciding to use BMV. The project involved extensive renovation of an old home built in the 30s : interior and exterior painting, some basic stucco work on the exterior, complete electrical rewiring, replacement of all windows, complete demolition and rebuild of two bathrooms (including relocation of one bathroom), demolition of existing kitchen and knocking out of a wall to create a new open plan kitchen/living room, refinishing of existing hardwood floors throughout the house, complete demolition of a room to create a new outside patio area, installation of custom french doors to the outside area, insulation replacement throughout the house, installation of a new range hood, installation of recessed lighting, installation of deck railings and new front entrance railings, building of a kitchen pantry area, complete refurbishment of interior doors, and installation of a rod iron patio railing. Overall I'd recommend BMV and I found the team to be professional, courteous and genuinely friendly. I'd break the specifics down as follows: Communication: Bud and Maricruz were both easy to communicate with and responded very quickly to questions, change-order requests etc. Paperwork was sent to us in a timely and professional manner at the end of each pre-agreed milestone for the project as we had requested. On the job site, I found the workers to be easy to talk to and they would often check with me to make sure that things were as we wanted/had agreed before moving forward. Workers: The guys on the BMV were all great. I was impressed with their work rate, they showed up consistently and it was clear they were capable of delivering a good end product. Some of their guys are outstanding and whenever confronted with the inevitable hitches in a big project like this consulted with me and found a way around it that I was happy with. I think all the workers were great, but Carlos, William and Carlos (a hardwood floor specialist) were outstanding, proper craftsmen. Legal: All of the licenses and permits were dealt with by them as promised. We passed all the inspections as promised, and even when we did encounter some city issues that were unplanned, they dealt with them all. Job Site: They kept the job site in good order and generally clean and tidy. There were some times where things did pile up a fair bit in the demolition pile, but we did gut the entire inside. When I mentioned I'd like it removed it was taken care of quickly. Extra Mile: Bud was helpful and even took time to drive me to Home Depot on at least a few occasions to pick out/check materials. He did the same when it came to choosing the tiles, which we love. Maricruz really did go the extra mile with a fair bit of back-and-forth with us on the proposal before we finally settled with them. Follow-up: We've been in the place for a few weeks now and there's always the little tweak here or there when you've essentially completely redone the inside - a small leak here or there, a little missed tightening down of something etc. I've mentioned these things to Bud and these have been fixed within a few day of me mentioning it. I have no doubt that they'll stand behind their promise of a full warranty on their work for a year after the project is over and that I'll have no trouble getting them out here if anything needs a tweak.

BMV Construction did the remodel of our bathroom. From the start, I was very impressed with their professionalism. Maricruz listened to my ideas and desires and offered helpful suggestions. Once the work started, ALL of the workers were WONDERFUL. BMV is a company of great integrity. They did what they said they would do, they were respectful, courteous, on time and did amazing work. Each team of guys who came did a great job, from the demolition, to plumbing/electrical, painting, beautiful and artistically laid tile, to all of the finishing touches. I have been recommending them to everyone who asks or needs work done on their home. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!

We love our new bathroom!! I can't believe it only took less than 2 weeks and the outcome is amazing! We are very happy with all the works that had done as well as everything we have picked! These two weeks were extremely hot and we greatly appreciate all the effort and hard work from your team! Good communication throughout the whole process, highly recommend BMV Construction!

Complete residential remodel, including adding a 2nd. story master bedroom and bathroom to existing house (approx. 417 sq.ft) with a walk-in closet, steam shower and bay window, remodel two bedrooms, living room, dining room, new laundry area, new bathroom, added new and refurbished hard flooring through-out, installed over 8 new custom build-in cabinets throough out, new 3-view fireplace, new custom made iron rails, new windows (over 24 windows) and new doors, re-stucco entire house with smooth stucco finish, installed new roof, installed new central HAVC (3 zone system), replaced existing electrical panel with a new 200W connected under ground to city utilities as well as new electrical wiring and lighting throught out (including replacing existing electrical wires), new drive-way, install new front perimeter cilender-block walls and stairs, designed and installed new back door seating patio area with cement/wood benches and planters as well as installed new pond and new grass. Pulled all permits.

BMV did the work professionally, neatly, and QUICKLY. They were very easy to work with. They listened to our needs and gave great suggestions that made the finished kitchen the pride of our home. We were so satisfied with the work and customer service we will definitely ask them to come back for future work.

Great experience! They tore down the back part of the house, and then rebuilt it from the ground up to give us a bedroom and a half bath. At the same time they also redid our kitchen and moved around some walls in the pantry. They were accurate about the time involved, and were great to work with. I highly recommend them!

Bud and his crew were good to work with. They are professional and have good workmanship. High standard and very satisfactory.

We have used BMV Construction on several projects in the last 4 years, some large and some small. Obviously, we wouldn't keep calling them back if we weren't happy with their work. We especially like their diligence, quality of workmanship, and their "Can Do" attitude. They pretty much come in on estimated time for completion and budget as well. We're big fans of their work and would highly recommend them. Our largest project involved total demo of a kitchenette, kitchen, & service porch that were upgraded into a beautiful open space kitchen/eating/service area, and we also added a 3rd bedroom & bath, with total refurbishing of the rest of the house, inside and out, including hardwood floors. You get many calls about service. Choosing a company you know nothing about is difficult. Tom and I could not be more pleased with the overall professionalism and down to earth kindhearted people on staff at BMV Construction. Their work is utmost in quality, their staff of workers are so friendly and desire to accommodate your schedule. We were so pleased with the windows we had installed in the front of the house we called them back to complete additional windows. Though we don't have an ongoing relationship with this owner or manager/office staff etc. they came across as very caring and concerned individuals who take pride in their work and also meeting their customers expectations. We are so pleased and just would not want to pass up someone else having the opportunity to have them assist them. We know that should we need anything else done to our house we won't need to go anywhere else. This is such a great comfort.

2 years ago my wife and I hired this company to do a remodel of our master bathroom and some work in the other 2. We were pleased with their work at the time and still are as it is holding up well with the passage of time. They were very professional; always showing up on time, doing quality work, communicating with us in an accurate manner and being accommodating to our wishes. The price we paid was very competitive and fair. We would be pleased to hire this company again and recommend them without hesitation.

Bud and his crew were great. We had a complete kitchen remodel done in just over 4 weeks with no additional costs even though I did change my mind on some features as the job progressed. Bud and Maricruz were easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. The end result was fabulous. The crew was here daily and always very neat and professional. We were very happy. The bathroom is next!

This company was wonderful beyond description. We had our kitchen completely remodeled. They made great suggestions as to design and colors. Best of all they finished in less than four weeks. The team worked six days a week, ten hours a day. They were courteous and friendly yet very unobstrustive. We actually missed them when they finished. The beautiful cabinets were custom made and nicer than we have seen in any other house. The tile and granite are lovely and the plumbing was redone with ease. The new lighting adds so much to the room. I am still thrilled every time I walk into my new kitchen.

I used BMV Construction two years ago to install upgraded environmentally insulated windows throughout our home. They measured, delivered, & installed the windows on time and did a magnificent job. I would definitely consider using them on another project on our home.
