As the name suggests, the owner and operator of Dan Gardner Drywall is Dan Gardner. The company was established in 1981 with two employees. Dan is a life-long resident of Cedar Rapids, IA. He started his construction career in 1975 working for his older brother. After graduation, he started working full time in the drywall trade learning all of the necessary skills like hanging sheetrock, taping and finishing, and texturing. In 1981, because of the tough times the 80's brought to the area, Dan lost his job. That same afternoon he decided to start his own business – And he did, knowing a lot about drywall but not much about business. That knowledge would come with time and some mistakes along the way. Dan Gardner Drywall is a full-service drywall company offering standard sheetrocking and finishes to a variety of more intricate textures and options. For his clients' convenience, Dan also offers an on-site Repair Service Van and bulk prime-coat painting services in new construction projects. In 1995, Dan Gardner Drywall started offering EIFS as part of their quality services. EIFS, Exterior Insulation and Finish System, is a great way to help insulate your house or building from the outside while increasing its visual appeal. Dan Gardner and his team are certified in numerous EIFS systems, working in residential and light commercial. In March of 2008, Dan once again decided to add to the quality systems and services he offers. After much investigation and deliberation and largely because of their excellent reputation, dealer and customer support, he became a licensed Icynene® spray foam dealer. Icynene® is an open-cell soft foam that seals and insulates. In 2008 to supplement the "Green" qualities of Icynene®, Dan took the required Green Building classes necessary to become a Certified Green Professional, the first in his field to do so. You can count on his team being punctual, responsible, polite, and best of all clean! Dan has been active with the local Home Builders Association since 1984 and has actually sat on its Board of Directors all but 4 of those years! He earned the honor of Associate of the Year in 1998 and 2008 for his dedication and donated time & efforts with numerous HBA events and committees. vv
