As an experienced interior architect/designer with a decade of expertise, I thrive on crafting bespoke spaces that captivate and inspire. But my passion goes far beyond that—I am an ardent advocate of bringing unique kitchen and bath design to all who share my love of cooking and entertaining. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than attentively listening to my clients' visions for their homes and transforming those dreams into functional designs detailed with stunning finishes. From the initial plan until the final element is put into place, I am here to assist you in navigating the journey and be your advocate in the building process. I am humbled by amazing clients like Jessica who trust the process. “Her knowledge helped guide us in decisions we would not have thought to make in terms of efficient configuration down to the smallest details by truly understanding how we wanted to use the space.” Embracing challenges is my forte. I relish intricate layouts and tricky design puzzles and navigating the complexities they present. I possess an experienced understanding of the hurdles that come with limited living spaces and possess a keen ability to optimize every precious square inch. But I leave nothing to chance, detailed plans, layouts and excellent communication skills with all of the people involved in a project is vitally important to me and will ensure successful execution of the final creative vision. My qualifications in kitchen and bath design are an important consideration for potential clients—I proudly hold certifications from the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and I am a Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPP) professional, dedicated to fostering accessibility, comfort, and safety in every home I design. Hailing originally from Germany and having resided in both the beautiful Côte d'Azur and the vibrant city of Paris for six years, my design aesthetic is infused with European flair! I bring a wealth of cultural influences to my work. While my roots may trace back to Europe, my husband and I have proudly made Boulder our home, raising two remarkable daughters amidst the breathtaking beauty of Colorado.

Working with Ute was such a dream. She was incredibly patient with us as we went through a few rounds of plans for our remodeled kitchen. Her taste is fantastic, but she also believes in client satisfaction and choice. Ute is both diligent and very detailed, following up with contractors and vendors to ensure that our project was moving along. Ute brings so much to any project - joy, attention to detail, and she is a great resource for any home design or remodeling project. I would absolutely recommend her design services. We worked with Ute on our small bathroom. She helped us select a vanity and handled all of the details to her it made and delivered. Although thr vanity was her primary focus on the project she did not hesitate to give us input on related choices. We could be happier with the color, construction, and fit of or new vanity which works great with our existing floor as well!

In Detail Interiors

I have gotten to know Ute as a colleague and have been impressed with her attention to detail and her genuine concern for her clients having the best possible experience in their remodel or new construction project. These days it is not always easy to find authentic people who CARE so much about their work. This speaks volumes to me about someone and some would say I am an astute judge of character. We had such an amazing experience working with Ute when we remodelled our kitchen at bath. From the initial plan through the build it was an amazing experience. With the initial plan we were able to share our goals and Ute transformed this into a beautiful design that completely re-thought how we use the space. Her knowledge helped guide us for decisions we would not have thought to make in terms of efficient configuration down to the smallest details by truly understanding how we wanted to use the space. She was able to recommend a build partner, which was an added bonus, since they had worked together in the past so the communication was seamless. Ute stayed with us from the first drawings, through the complete tear down to the studs, selection of all the materials and to the last handle being put on a cabinet. She was available for discussion for all of the decisions large and small. If I ever do a kitchen or bath again, I wouldn't even consider anyone else

Your kitchen is amazing! It is a hard-working kitchen, and both you and Peter have dedicated work zones for baking, cooking, storing, and clean-up. The key drop area and the bench at your back area are certainly very convenient and keep everything in place.

Our first experience with Ute took place in 2019. We started with a design to transform a mostly non-functional large back hall to a highly functional full bath and laundry area. The project expanded to include a partial remodel of the kitchen to fix a couple of mistakes we made 12 years earlier, and then also included a partial remodel of another bathroom. The results exceeded our expectations, as we now have a very attractive and functional main floor bath and laundry which will enable us to live on one floor should we chose to do so in the future. When my husband gives a tour of the house, he gushes about "his" bathroom with a large shower, heated floor and timeless finishes that Ute helped us chose. Ute is an creative and efficient designer who listened carefully to our initial input and made revisions based on our feedback. When we wanted to find ways to cut costs, she understood and made good changes. Every step was easy. Also, she recommended the contractor who was excellent. We are now embarking on a second project with Ute to update our primary bath. Knowing how well the first design worked out, we are confident that we will get the best outcomes from Ute on this one. We do not hesitate to recommend Ute Vandenberghe.

Ute was great. She helped us design built-ins for an office remodel. She was awesome at working around heat sources, measuring through lots of construction debris, and helping us make reasonable choices on hardware. She approached everything with a positive, happy attitude. She also knew our contractor and that made installation easier as well.

We are so glad we hired Ute to design our kitchen. She provided professional insight and creativity to the kitchen project, and helped us implement our vision. She spent time with us to really understand what we wanted, and worked with us as we sorted out how best to use our space. She discussed various options we could use, and suggested features in detail that we had not considered. She also reviewed the architect's plans in detail and proposed some minor changes to address structural challenges, and improved the kitchen design and functionality. When we had our plan, she came over to the site and worked closedly with our contractor and installer to ensure the project was being communicated accurately and to share her vision with everyone on board. We are so pleased with her work and our new kitchen!

nova investments

Ute was fantastic... we designed and built a $4,000,000 home and her thoughts and suggestions were all fabulous. She not only did all measurements herself, she also inspected many times during the process to insure a perfect job... then after job, their were a few adjustments to be made with the cabinets, and all were handled timely and professionally. i am thankful we used her and would recommend her services and pricing to anyone.
