Trevor and his crew are very client focused and professional. They have performed work for us for years, both in the Lake Tahoe and Donner Summit areas. Thier work has always been of very high quality and thier service proactive and responsive. Recently, they took on an emergency project repairing the entire outside of the lower floor of our 50 year old house due to extensive advanced dryrot that was discovered. Trevor brought in the engineer to do the calculations and ran the entire process. Also included was shoring up and leveling the second story deck and repairing the chimney. All was done before the snows. The house is now set for another 75 years!

We are just finishing an extensive remodel of a 55-year-old kitchen, and I couldn't be happier. Trevor is honest, reliable, capable, and seems to have excellent relationships with his employees and sub-contractors. This was the kind of project where unexpected problems kept revealing themselves, and Trevor kept dealing with whatever showed up. The bonus is that he notices details and is patient and creative with solutions! When we tackle some further problems with an aging house, I hope to be able to work again with TJ Glidden!

Trevor Glidden did a superb job redesigning and rebuilding a mistake that was made in the original contstruction of the house. While the job was not huge, it was complicated since he was going into newly installed cabinetry and ducts to redo the area. He was very professional and efficient .

Where to begin...Trevor has been simply wonderful to work with. He is professional, has a solid work ethic and is a perfectionist when it comes to the infinite details of remodeling a cabin in Tahoe. Trevor's attention to detail is incredible. His precision and finish details are beautiful, and on occasion, he surprised me and made design suggestions that gave this project a new and much appreciated layer. As a local, he understands the challenges of a construction project in the mountains. Year round weather and holidays can add stress to big projects, but Trevor seamlessly balanced these items. Even with pressing timelines and the ever changing needs of his clients, he is consistently professional. His team is rock solid. Subs are respectful and professional and the job site was clean and tidy. His main lead contractor was fantastic. I felt I had someone to communicate with at all times. Trevor also happens to be an expert at problem solving. This is also key when working in Tahoe and on projects that have many layers of complexity (in our case, a 1951 cabin). From the moment we began this project, I have felt confident in Trevor and his team and have even gone as far as to travel internationally during key phases of the construction project. That's how much confidence I have in this team. I would highly recommend Trevor to anyone looking to do a high end residential remodel/new construction in Tahoe.

I have worked with Trevor Glidden on a few homes in the Lake Tahoe Basin. They have all been successful, primarily because Trevor appreciates and works well with the team. This team often consists of owners, architects, consultants and interior designers. Each having a certain yet not often entirely clear role on a particular project, Trevor will often lead throughout the construction process with excellent planning, identifiable budgets, clear communication, and creative ideas. What makes him stand out among some other contractors in the area, however, is his ability to work with his clients to achieve their goals. None of this would be important if Trevor were not a builder with integrity and a great personality. I would recommend him to anyone considering building a new home, an addition or remodeling an existing home or business. I look forward to our next project together.

Trevor Glidden's understanding and appreciation of the structure is something I appreciate. Trevor also enjoys collaborating with the engineer to optimize the design and save total project costs. TJ Glidden has handled projects ranging from the most challenging foundation repairs to interior remodels. His clients have all seemed quite happy with his services.

We used TJ Glidden to re-do our 1920's style cabin on Lake Tahoe. It was a pretty major job including rotating the roof-line 90 degrees to transform the dark cabin into a bright, ceiling to floor set of windows looking out onto the Lake. Trevor brought incredible design details to the project including a beautiful mantle framing the new river rock fireplace. He also found ways to re-purpose some of the knotty pine paneling for a downstairs room to carry the rustic cabin feel throughout the house. The project was large, including installing a new 36 inch glue-lam roof center beam with a crane. The result was a spectacular blend of old-Tahoe charm with new light and views. Trevor met with me every Saturday when I would drive up from the Bay Area to review progress. He was exceptionally accommodating of my schedule . I would highly recommend TJ Glidden for construction projects.

I purchased a 1978 home that had been flipped and needed to be upgraded. When I first met with Trevor I could tell that we were on the same page as we walked through the house together while I shared my vision of what we could do. This house received a complete makeover and the quality and craftsmanship exceeded what I had envisioned. From windows to floors and bathrooms to doors, the workmanship was outstanding. Since this house was older it needed a considerable amount of its infrastructure to be improved including supports for the second floor, significant electrical work and a lot of plumbing that needed to be re-done. All of Trevor's subs were excellent, even taking the time to talk with me to make sure they knew what I would like done. That was really another great aspect of working with Trevor is the communication. Whether it was the foreman on the job or Trevor himself, they are always willing to take the time for you. I live four hours away from this property so I had to rely on them working around my schedule. I even had a emergency situation and was able to get in touch with Trevor on a weekend I knew he was out of town. This along with many other things really built the trust I have in Trevor. Not being on site each day requires a lot of trust and Trevor has been the right person for that. Whether it is a remodel or a new build I would hire Trevor over and over again.

We have used Trevor for several phases in updating our house in Carnelian Bay. We worked with him to walk through the 'grand' plan and vision. He then helped us to break down the projects into phases so we could tackle them within the budgets over time. He has great communication and does a great job keeping you in the loop with the progress. Since we are not at the house full time, it is helpful to get pictures to know there is progress in the projects. Trevor and his team have been great to work with over the years and we are incredibly happy with our final product. He is a solid person who we have enjoyed getting to know and work with.

We had a few upgrades, nothing too extravagant and a very small job all things considered, but Trevor and his team went the extra mile at each step to make these upgrades as good as they can possible be. They never compromised, and the result surpassed our expectations. If you want someone who is going to slap together a few solutions and cut corners, Trevor isn't your guy. If you want someone who is going to do grade-A quality work, we highly recommend TJ Glidden Construction.

TJ Glidden was initially hired to complete a "punch list" from the original builder of our vacation home. After we met with Trevor, he made several more recommendations and we eventually customized our newly built second home into the dream house we always wanted. We are very pleased with the outcome which included electrical, plumbing, carpentry and landscaping. Trevor continues to be very involved and is very responsive to our phone calls, emails and texts. He is "part" of the house.

TJ Glidden Construction Co. remodeled our house in early 2000. We started in the spring and had a promised deadline of Thanksgiving. During the time of the remodel we visited the site almost weekly. The crew was considerate and courteous, the job site kept tidy and Trevor (the owner) was there to meet with us. We had a very positive experience! I have heard from other couples of the nightmares that they went through during a remodel, but our experience was a joy. Our house was finished by the deadline and we were able to enjoy our first Thanksgiving in our new home!

Trevor Glidden has performed two major projects for me and a master bath remodel. T J Glidden Construction has exceeded my expectations each time. Trevor, his employees and subcontractors have always been professional and polite ( our grandkids were often with us). He worked incredibly well with our architects and interior designers and kept the integrity and feeling of our over 100 year young Tahoe Home. Trevor completed the projects on time and on budget. I highly recommend T J Glidden Construction in all regards. Now the third major remodel interior and exterior to our Beautiful Old Home on Lake Tahoe which was originally surrounded by 25 acres of land and accessed by horse and buggy. His skill in maintaining our home’s antique quality while updating all mechanical and physical quality has been superb. We recommend TJGlidden Construction at the highest in all facets!
