From our initial contact with Tabre via email, we were impressed with his responsiveness, knowledge and his desire to articulate what we could expect during the different stages of our project. Once Paul came for the initial on-site visit, it was evident that he was engaged in the vision of our project and that his knowledge would help us realize the functionality and aesthetic we wanted to achieve. They delivered quality materials (glass railings, louvres, lumber and hardware), excellent workmanship and a beautiful finished outdoor living space that we will be proud to share with our family and friends. They brought everything they needed, stayed on site all day, were on time, and cleaned up daily! Paul even stepped up to take on the responsibility of walking through the project with our city inspector. It was obvious our inspector was also impressed with the workmanship! Tabre and Paul are likely the best in the business at building and designing decks. They were on time, on budget and exceeded all expectations. During COVID, they were able to secure decking inventory and complete the job on time. I added a few additional items during the project, Tabre was quick to calculate the extras and keep everything transparent throughout the build. During the inspection process, the City Inspector told me, “this is one of the best decks I have ever seen built”. That was very reassuring to hear from an independent person. I know that this deck will last a lifetime and I can’t wait to enjoy this deck for many years to come. In addition to all of these positive comments, Tabre really knows all the in’s and out’s when constructing a deck and Paul can build just about anything you can think of. Paul and his assistant rebuilt my back fence, side fences and deck and did an excellent job! They worked hard, finished on budget and ahead of schedule. They were very approachable and were helpful with any questions I had. I would highly recommend Thommoknockers for deck and fence work to anyone!

Our experience with Thommoknockers exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning Tabre and Paul took the time to understand our wishes, then educate us on the best possible solutions to make our deck a reality. Paul and Davis have a work ethic like we’ve never seen before, working beyond the standard 8 hour work day on several occasions, and even worked through the rain when many other contractors on our street packed it in early for the day. Tabre was extremely responsive when it came to the initial engagement and subsequent answering of questions. He showed flexibility and was extremely helpful in guiding on the approach we took. Paul and the on-site team were professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable, not to mention showing up on time (if not early). Paul helped guide the design when we weren't 100% certain on the approach. When there was some minor changes needed, he accommodated. He talked through specific decision points and was fantastic right through the end. They cleaned up daily and did a total clean-up on finish. The final price was as quoted which can often be rare. We couldn't be more satisfied with the work done. I would not hesitate to recommend Thommoknockers -- A+ in my books and will definitely leverage them again in future projects.

I contacted Tabre (via email) explaining the situation we were in and within a day, we received a response, within two weeks or so we had our beautiful railings installed. Thommoknockers did an amazing job of installing the invisirail railing on our deck. They organized the aluminum company to come after they built a custom edge around the deck in order to safely secure the railing. They are extremely professional, efficient and reliable! I would recommend them to anyone! The only mistake we made was not knowing about them to build the deck as well!!

We recently had our third story roof top patio railing replaced with glass by Thommoknockers (a decking company). Our experience in dealing with Tabre and Paul was an excellent one. They were reliable, knowledgeable and efficient. Tabre was extremely easy to communicate with and he was always available for advice, recommendations and he was quick to respond to any questions. He was responsible for and very patient when coordinating their work with another trade hired by us. Paul was professional and reliable and replaced and disposed of the rail quickly while producing a beautiful and safe final product. My husband and I would recommend Thommoknockers in a heart beat. They produce beautiful work and clearly take pride in their relationships with their clients and the quality and outcome of their work. They are clearly experts!

Tabre and Paul were very professional. I greatly appreciated how Paul took the time to work with me and my 150 year old barn beams to make our vision happen. they built us a beautiful 10 x 20 covered deck off our walkout. Some additional clean up was required, but everything was looked after timely and overall they kept things as clean as possible. No issues recommending these guys or calling them again for a future project. Excellent work.
