I worked with Sherry Redler, of Distinctive Cabinetry, on my kitchen remodel. Together we created my dream kitchen! I love absolutely everything about it, especially now that it’s finally finished and I can cook! The layout changed and improved in every way. With Sherry’s help, the cabinet color, island color, and my wonderful quartzite stone counters have given me a very elegant, timeless kitchen. I am beyond happy with the final result!

For the complete remodel of our kitchen, we decided to go with Distinctive Cabinetry for the purchase of our new Starmark kitchen cabinets and kitchen design work. Steve and his team, especially Sherry, did such great work helping to remodel our kitchen. Sherry was so patient with us. We asked tons of questions. Probably more than most people. But Sherry was always cheerful and had no problem with hand holding us throughout the entire process. I can be very particular, and I wanted to make sure that the cabinet selections and design work was done right. The kitchen design/remodel turned out gorgeous. Every time I walk into my new kitchen, I am so pleased that the kitchen came out the way it did. The kitchen design/remodel far exceeded my expectations. In addition, Sherry was extremely helpful with our selection of inset cabinets and materials. We really loved the overall service at Distinctive Cabinetry. Sherry answered all questions/concerns from me, and our contractor in a timely and professional manner. I would highly recommend Distinctive Cabinetry for all of your kitchen cabinet needs.

During the Fall of 2022, we required cabinetry for a master bath remodel that necessitated knowledgeable and unique solutions to a number of challenges as well as our own wishes. We were very fortunate in choosing Distinctive Cabinetry in Walnut Creek, to help us select cabinets and materials that truly represented our vision. This remodel was meant to replace cabinets that required significant updates. Our added good fortune was to be assisted by Designer Shirley Meserole whose skill and superb understanding of design helped create a plan that was installed with perfect tailoring to our needs. Shirley was extremely proficient in her design ideas and proposed a very effective rendering of drawings and plans. Her personality and her approach to our wishes was extremely helpful and supportive. She was knowledgeable, kind and efficient and offered real expertise in her recommendations. We could not be more pleased by the overall performance of Distinctive Cabinetry and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to remodel a kitchen or bathroom.

When my husband and I decided to not just remodel but overhaul the kitchen in his 90 yr old family home I visited kitchen showrooms in WC and surrounding areas. On the first visit to Distinctive Cabinetry we met Craig and it was the beginning of a perfect partnership! Our kitchen was constrained in a tiny cramped footprint that had to be expanded if we were to transform this outdated kitchen into a modern airy space. I have always LOVED to cook but what I never loved was a countertop lined with small appliances. So a must have for a new kitchen was going to be sufficient cabinet storage space to house a collection of much used small appliances all within easy reach. We were fortunate to have an adjacent dining room from which to gain space however we still needed to be creative in utilizing this extra space as efficiently and cleverly as possible. Craig was always responsive, available and full of great ideas. At the start of this project we never fully realized the myriad of decisions inherent with a kitchen remodel so choosing Distinctive Cabinetry was a critically important first step. After discussions with Craig regarding our floorplan and cabinet options we chose a mix of painted and stained Shiloh cabinetry, polar white and natural alder. We couldn't be happier with our cabinets, both the quality and our selections. The white and stained cabinets blend so beautifully together, it's a look we'll never tire of. Shortly after ordering our cabinets we learned we needed to hire a new contractor. Craig to the rescue, quickly contacting a trusted contractor that we ultimately hired and in whom we had total confidence. Our gorgeous results were achieved because of our BEST first decision to hire Distinctive Cabinetry, everything just kept falling into place. Fast forward to today, our project is 99.9% complete. This transformation didn't happen overnite but nothing worth doing is easy or quick. At this point we are only awaiting the marble tile installation for the coffee bar backsplash. We are truly blown away by our kitchen...it's so much more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. We spend as much time as possible in our gorgeous new space! One of our favorite kitchen features is our coffee bar. This design element was never on our radar but Craig incorporated it into his initial design and we instantly had to have it. We also love that it's in its own distinct, defined space yet steps away from the main kitchen. Any home remodel is a huge investment in time and money so in the end you want to LOVE every detail of your new space. In order to achieve your desired result you need a trusted team who can turn your vision into reality. I believe the mark of a great designer is not only delivering on what their client wants but also providing that extra something the client doesn't even know they want or need. We just finished an extensive home renovation (kitchen and three bathrooms) and could not have been happier with Distinctive Cabinetry. We worked with Sherry - she was wonderful! She is knowledgeable, thorough, patient, accommodating, kind and always seemed to have a reasonable solution. Planning the cabinetry for a renovation was much more involved than I realized but it felt like I was doing it with a friend - someone who had my best interest in mind. An extensive project is going to hit snags - but Distinctive Cabinetry always found us a solution. Our cabinets arrived 3 weeks early, they stored them for us. We had a strange indoor brick bbq (partially covered by drywall) that was going to be converted into a wall oven and cabinetry. Sherry knew these measurements would need to be precise and couldn’t be done until after demolition. She was able to rush the order and get them to us when the other cabinets were being installed. We ordered a false drawer front and it came looking a little off, she looked at it and knew it could be better and ordered us a new one. Cabinetry is the primary functional and financial component of a renovation. You want someone who knows what they’re doing - Sherry at Distinctive Cabinetry is that person.

So Impressive! Sherry was a rock star from start to finish. We stopped in the showroom with a general idea of what we wanted for our kitchen remodel. However, with so many choices, we were unsure of the style and color combinations. Instead of overwhelming us with options, Sherry took the time to really listen to our goals and understand our layout. Being able to choose from 3 different kitchen island and cabinet solutions in the 3D rendering was amazing. We really got the kitchen of our dreams and I can't thank them enough. We've already recommended them to another friend.

We used them for 4 different cabinet solutions (kitchen, entertainment center, and two bathrooms) and everything turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Sherry at Distinctive Cabinetry showed immense patience with us while we struggled to figure out exactly what we wanted. The whole project turned out absolutely beautiful. They were easy to work with, let us take home samples and made numerous changes as we kept changing our minds on a few things. After delivery and install, they were quick to address any issues and changes we had. Highly recommend them! Oh and the total price ended up lower than expected.

Craig designed the cabinetry in my award winning, handicap friendly bathroom. We spent several hours going over ideas. He listened to me. He used his computer to visually diagram the design which was essential for me as it helped me see in three D exactly what the cabinets would look like. Craig was easy to talk with; he worked closely with Robineve Cole as they discussed the pros and cons of placement of the cabinets. I would not hesitate to recommend Craig. And, after two years of use, I am still in love with my bathroom cabinetry.

We worked with Craig for many months in the planning and design phase and he is awesome!! So patient and he has so many great design ideas that make the final product beautiful and functional. My experience with Distinctive Cabinetry couldn't have been more positive. Sherry helped us and I very highly recommend her. She expertly guided me through all the options and had some brilliant suggestions that none of the friends and designers had thought of (and they spent a lot more time looking at our plans). I highly, highly recommend them! I worked with Sherry Redler on my kitchen project and she helped me from the beginning to very end. She is very patient, responsive and is an expert in this field. I went back and forth on so many things and she was so kind and informative during this entire process. Being honest, I feel she was even more helpful than my contractor was in providing quality control while the job was being done. I worked with Sherry Redler at Distictive Cabinetry for the complete remodel of a 50 year old home. New custom cabinets in a large kitchen, two bathrooms, and laundry room. It was a pleasure working with Sherry, she had such good insights, and many great suggestions during the design phase. I ordered a custom cabinet for my bathroom in Navy Blue and worked with Sherry who was very knowledgeable and helpful. I look forward to working with them in the future.

Sherry was great, she helped design our kitchen from start to finish. Everything was explained and she gave a good timeline of everything that would happen. We ended up getting our cabinets early and everything was the correct size, color, etc. I thought the price was very reasonable and the quality is excellent. She promptly returns calls and e-mails. Would definitely consider using Distinctive Cabinetry again should we do any more remodeling.

The owner Steve and our designer Sherry are true class acts and followed through ever step of the way. The decision to remodel is an easy one once you see the results of others home improvements. Where to begin however, can be overwhelming never having done this before. We started by going into local showrooms which was very helpful. The process is time consuming but very educational. We learned a great deal about how important it is to choose a quality product, have people who you trust and feel comfortable with in your home.Craig at Distinctive Cabinetry did an excellent job helping us find the kitchen we dreamed of. Years later when we needed to remodel the master bath, we had no questions about where to start, we went back to Distinctive Cabinetry. This time, Steve Ross who is the owner, came out to measure. Within a couple of days, we had a plan to work with. They can recommend excellent contractors and have added an interior design service which we used to help pull together the materials for the floors and fabrics we liked. Distinctive Cabinetry makes it a One Stop Shop with great designers, quality products all under one roof! All around wonderful experience. The quality of Starmark cabinets, as well as the the open lines of communication with Sherry Redler throughout the project made all the difference. We worked with Craig Lutz at Distinctive Cabinetry to design our kitchen remodel. Craig did an excellent job designing the new kitchen and assisting us with choice of wood and color for the kitchen. It was a complete kitchen rebuild, from floor to ceiling and everything in between (cabinetry, appliances, countertops, lighting, flooring, and removal of a 1-foot dropped ceiling). Craig made some suggestions that added to our own vision for the kitchen, and we really appreciated the work he did on it. We love the new kitchen. I also want to mention the outstanding work done by the contractor, Larry Tonti. Larry did a great job with the rebuilding and installation.

Regardless of the scope, cabinet upgrades or a kitchen redesign, he is professional and mindful of the client's goal as well as their budget. Steve gives a considerable amount of attention to detail in his layouts: counter & storage space, island design, lighting, ventilation systems and recycling needs.
