We built our very first custom home with Starr Custom Homes. When looking for a builder we wanted someone who we could trust. After interviewing several custom home builders in Jacksonville FL we selected Starr Custom Homes. I am so glad we did! I especially appreciated the level of detail in designing the house, developing the construction timeline, and executing the build to budget. During the construction process Shawn was at the job site daily making sure every detail was addressed. I have spoken to many people who have had nightmare stories of building a home….that just wasn’t our experience with Starr Custom Homes. We enjoyed the process and would recommend anyone who wants to build a high-quality custom home to seriously consider Starr Custom Homes.

FANTASTIC is the only word that comes to mind. I wanted to change my 80's kitchen into atmosphere. Shawn had great ideas and the remodel for our kitchen looks super. The design and layout has combined our kitchen and living space. and it's beautiful. Highly recommend and the contractors he had working on our home were all informative and respectful of our home.

Shawn at Dreambuilder did a wonderful job with our oceanfront home. We started with a blank canvas and they helped us sketch, design, and build our forever home. Thanks to their expertise and process Dreambuilder follows, they made it as easy as possible for us to put all of the love and care we wanted into the final product. The team that Shawn put together was excellent and every phase from design, to permitting, to construction, and finally finish was wonderful.

Shawn Starr of Dreambuilder Custom Homes built our custom home in Jacksonville Beach, completed August 2013. Shawn has an artistic eye and is meticulous in his attention to detail. Our home has many extras which are considered part of his basic construction package. Ceiling detail was especially thoughtful and added to the appeal of our home. Construction materials were of high quality and the 6 inch outer walls adding to the R factor were standard. We appreciate the high quality craftsmanship of the subcontractors who worked with Shawn on our home. Shawn is passionate about his work and made us feel like we were his only clients. In the post construction period, Shawn has remained readily accessible to us and has met his commitment to quality in managing punch list items.
