He designed exactly what I needed with a very quick turnaround and was very knowledgeable of the codes and city requirements, especially important for an old condo with "character". Working with Andy on my dream house was a true pleasure. I had a piece of property that was unique and required working closely with the town to make sure everything fell within the building requirements. I also wanted to make best use of the land and all that it offered. One of my pet peeves with new construction is that too many houses end up "floating" on the land rather than working with the geography. It was important to me that my house was nestled into the landscape so that it looked like it had been there for generations. I built this house so that it could be handed down for generations to come and plenty of entertaining could take place with my friends and family. I didn't want a huge house, but I did want it to feel open and bright. We used a mixture of new products as well as tried-and-true materials so that the house has a classic look but with low maintenance for the future. The architectural process was a fun one. I found it more relaxing and casual than expected. Andy converted my ideas and concepts to a working design with ease. Having both the print designs and the 3D designs gave me confidence that our conversations were perfectly interpreted and that when the shovel finally went into the ground, I knew exactly what I was getting.

Working with Silipo Architecture & Design was a great experience. We were looking to plan out a significant remodel to several areas of our house, but weren't 100% sure how to best utilize the space with a new design, to get the most out of our existing footprint. Andy (SA&D owner) came in, took us through a methodical process of defining our project goals, aligned them to our prospective budget and drafted several different options for us to consider - all great in different ways. It was awesome to be able to use the plan drawings Andy put together to arrive a final design decision with our builder. Even after my wife and I "thought" we knew exactly what we wanted, Andy challenged us to consider certain design elements of the space, and in the end it was very helpful for us to lean on his experience and guidance. We would highly recommend using Silipo Architecture & Design for any significant home re-model or build that you are planning. Andy's approach is fun and exploratory, but also pragmatic at the same time, and not pushy, which was really valuable to us in the end.

We recently bought a home and were trying to decide whether to tear down and build new, or renovate. We contacted a few architects and decided to hire Silipo Architecture & Design. We worked directly with the owner, Andy Silipo, and could not have been happier with the level of service and advice that he provided. He assessed the condition of our house and helped us in our decision making process to renovate and not tear down the house. He asked questions and listened to our "must haves" and "like to haves" regarding the renovation. From there he came back to us with 3 different plan options and analyzed each option according to a set of criteria that was important to us, including cost versus delivery of our objectives. He also provided 3D images of each plan which helped us visualize the changes. Silipo Architecure & Design professionally met all our needs and we couldn't have been happier with the results.
