Working with John and the team was a very positive experience. Our renovation was a large undertaking and I had no sleepless nights knowing the job was managed by the R. Craig Lord team. These professionals ensured that the job was done right from start to finish. Everyday i am reminded of how their exceptional work has made our home a special place.

When we decided to build a master-suite addition to our home in Mount Laurel, John Mayer and his team at Craig Lord earned our trust that they could do the job right. After we received the floorplan and quote, Nate worked up a 3-D rendering which really helped us visualize the finished product. John was happy to accommodate our suggested revisions to the layout that we felt would work better for our needs and he provided a revised 3-D rendering and updated quote based on the changes. Construction started within the promised window and our job foreman – Mike, whom our kids grew quite fond of – was present and checked in with us daily to update us on the work being done each day. In addition to that, for the duration of the project John called once a week to make sure we were satisfied in all aspects of the work performed. They stuck to the construction schedule provided at the beginning of the job and finished on-time and on-budget. One year later John kept his word and followed up to ensure we were still satisfied with their work. From my experience with him, I expect that he would continue to be responsive should any concerns come up in the future. The whole process went smoothly from start to finish, which can't always be said of many other home-improvement companies! John and his team at Craig Lord were great to work with and we wouldn't hesitate to have them work at our house again and we recommend them to family and friends.

Craig Lord is an absolutely fantastic contractor. We recently hired him to finish our basement. This was my first major construction project and I had a LOT of concerns going in (like, 'How do I know I am not being taken advantage of?,' 'How can I trust strangers to be in my home when I am at work?', 'What if I don't like the finished product?'). Craig and his team were first rate all the way. They walked us through every step of the process, worked to make sure that everyone was on the same page about exactly what would be done and what it would cost, established (and stuck to) a clear timeline, and generally inspired confidence throughout the project. Craig assigned a lead carpenter - the incomparable Jim - who was on site all day, every day, to make sure that things ran smoothly. The end product exceeded every expectation. We recently remodeled our basement with the team at R. Craig Lord. This experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The GM Michael was professional and easy to get in touch with. Our meetings with Michael and Craig prior to signing a contract were informative and comfortable. We never felt pressured or misled. It made our decision to move forward with the project an easy one. Once the project began we had the pleasure to work with Gary as our lead carpenter. Gary managed the project professionally and his workmanship speaks for itself. Our basement/laundry room is a warm, comfortable place to hang out. We couldn't be happier.

We used Craig Lord for a fairly large renovation to our house in 2015, including a new screened in porch, new laundry room, new master bath and new kitchen. I couldn't have asked for a more professional group of contractors, all coordinated by Craig Lord's conscientious and skilled master carpenter, Gary, who was on site everyday. There were no delays, the crew was neat and I felt my input was really appreciated. It was so reassuring to know that things were going to be done correctly and to my specifications. We will definitely use them again for future projects. I get so many compliments on all their work.

We have used R. Craig Lord for a major renovation and minor ones. They are a very trustworthy company with highly skilled craftsmen and excellent customer service.

The quality of the work was very good however there were issues of trust that rubbed me the wrong way. First, I believe we were overcharged for certain items. Second, there was a major issue in which a subcontractor messed something up and we were left feeling as though we did something wrong.

The most recent project involved enlarging our master bathroom and walk-in closet (including a custom closet system), and also making our attic space much more functional. All of Craig's foremen have worked on our various projects and they're all very talented craftsmen, paying great attention to every detail. In addition, they always left the workspaces clean and neat at the end of the day. Everyone in the company is very personable and easy to deal with. We really like the fact that the company is a design-build firm. We highly recommend this company.

They worked on my kitchen and laundry area. All of the plumbing and electrical problems were solved and remedied efficiently. They finished the re insulation and the reconstruction. All work passed the town's inspections on the first evaluation. All suppliers of goods and services were very knowledgeable and efficient. The lead carpenter, workers and entire staff were professional, proficient and personable.

Kitchen was remodeled with new cabinets. The work was done in a timely fashion. There was a foreman on the job each day. He also did a lot of the work. We are very happy with the finished work. We liked the way any changes were taken care of and billed. No surprises with final bill.
