We engaged Quin for a Knock down rebuild project & to design our forever home from a blank canvas. What drew us to Quin initially were the amazing reviews for his workmanship. Upon our initial consultation with Quin we knew he was the one to be trusted with our future home design. Quin is a master at what he does. When we first met Quin we were really impressed that he devoted 3 hours of his time to listen to our ideas and we certainly had a lot of them. He suggested we go away and think about exactly what we wanted. We met again for another few hours and as a result he has designed a house for us and incorporated all our requirements beautifully. We were thrilled with what he proposed as our block is a challenging one. We have never built before and the plans that he sent us were clear and showed us exactly what we were getting and it was easy to visualize what the exterior and interior will look like. I am a builder from Melbourne and looking to build a new house and retire in Tootgarook. We are very excited to see our new 'forever' home, designed by Quin, currently taking shape in Rye. It was very clear from our first meeting that Quin had the breadth and depth of knowledge relating to practicalities of planning a new home in this area to make the process as simple as possible. From a fairly general brief about what we wanted Quin was able to design & refine a plan for a home that we are delighted with, being both practical and aesthetically pleasing. He took energy efficiency into consideration as part of the process, relating to the building orientation, insulation & use of solar energy. Quin drew up detailed plans very efficiently and then quickly incorporated our feedback. We loved being able to see clearly what the building would look like, including the interior. The various permits we required to start the build were issued with a minimum of fuss, which was very reassuring. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Quin's skills as a building designer.

We were looking for a designer who was prepared to take on the redesign of our 'quirky' old A frame house and Quin was an enthusiastic supporter from the start. AMAZING! Quin designed our new house in St Andrews Beach, from the minute he answered my call, Quin was keen and wanted to meet us and take on our project without any delay, Quin knew exactly what we wanted, he listened to our vision, he explained every detail, he spent time with us, and he had our drawings done within 3 weeks, the attention to detail was mind blowing, our design was perfect! thanks to Quins building and design experience, he designed an amazing state of the art home that captured ocean views and surrounding landscape, every aspect of the design was creative and clever but at the same time practical, Quin knew the council restrictions to avoid any delays and rejections, our block is in a flame zone, with vegetation and design overlays, so this was not an easy task, Quin nailed it!. Our plans have been approved with the Council in record time. Quin's passion for our new home design has been impeccable, the best part was the latest design software enabling us to log in on our phone or computer and view the drawings and 3D images anytime, not only did this safe us time, we could see exactly what the house was going to look like once finished, we were updated and included in the whole design process, undeniably the best decision we made hiring Quin and he is an absolutely amazing human being as well.

Quin has been really good to work with. We wanted to design a substantial extension to an existing historic house. It needed to be sympathetic, yet fitting well in the environment with good livability and function. After several iterations we finally got a result that we are overjoyed with. Quin came up with some really good ideas and brought it all together very well.

This is the second project Quin has assisted me with. I have found Quin to be fantastic to work with, he has excellent design ideas, is practical, works to a budget and responds to the numerous changes very promptly. Quin was very easy to work with and turned the job around much quicker than we expected. He brought a lot of great ideas to the table which we had not previously considered and came up with a plan that is both functional and beautiful. My wife and I had different "none negotiables" for the design which have all been incorporated into the plans. As a result, the build will be more than we had budgeted but will give us the space we need for our growing family. The 3D renderings gave us a great idea of what the finished house will look like and really helped to visualise the news spaces. Quin has also been a big help in walking us through the process and letting us know who we need to contact and when for all the various surveys and reports required to help prepare for the building permit application. We are now looking forward to getting work underway so we can enjoy the home Quin has designed for us.

From start to finish Quin never let us down. His creative designs, passion and concepts for our project really helped breathe life into what would have been just a standard extension . Quin is a highly knowledgeable and experienced architect, with a great balanced approach to his design. We engaged Quin to come up with a concept for our existing home, that we thought we would demolish and start again. However Quin saw the benefits and savings associated with keeping the existing, and working with what we had, but still prioritising the overall amenity of the design. He is very sustainably minded, which is why we engaged Quin. He was also very prompt in delivering each stage, from concept drawings through to working drawings. We actually didn’t elect to change any details from his first concept, which certainly shows how happy we were

Quin was the second designer I chose after things had not worked out with my initial designer and builder during the design and quotation stage. As a single, middle aged woman I was left feeling less than impressed with the building industry and also, quite despondent, so felt the need to move on hoping to have a more positive experience from my next choice, but not convinced I would! I found Quin online, rather than by recommendation and felt I was taking a bit of a punt, but I loved the way his website read. It spoke to me! After my initial conversation and meeting with Quin and his subsequent plans, I knew I had found the right person. As I also suffer from chemical sensitivities, it was great that Quin is someone knowledgable in this field so that was an added bonus. Quin is highly professional, respectful and creative and I loved the design ideas he came up with. I think Quin is also really perceptive, because when I received the first plan and 3D photos, it was evident he had really understood me and what I was looking for in my home. Quin is totally reliable. I feel he "under promises and over delivers", so I was always so pleased that he achieved the updates to plans before I was expecting him to. His pricing is also very reasonable. Although my project was quite small and humble compared to others I knew he had worked on, I felt Quin treated both me and my project seriously and with the same interest he would have given larger projects. We engaged Quin Wyatt in March 2016 to develop plans for a major extension to a period house in Mornington. The design needed to be sympathetic to the original house but functional to suits todays lifestyle. Quin met this brief and provided a design which suited our requirements and was also accepted by the Council heritage architect. Quin was very receptive to our feedback and able to quickly turnaround any changes required. As Quin uses a 3D design package it is possible to see 3D representations of the design. Importantly Quin provided a fixed price quote for each stage of the design process from Town Planning through to Building Permit. We subsequently engaged Quin to develop drawings for our new garage and would not hesitate in recommending Quin for your project.

We recently worked with Quin Wyatt on the design of our large deck and roof over the deck on our beachouse at Blairgowrie. Quin developed detailed drawings and 3D images quickly which were excellent, he was also willing to make some changes to the plans for a modest cost and further changes at the request of Nepean Building permits. His fees are very reasonable and his ongoing advice is really helpful. We would happily recommend Quin to anyone and will probably use him again in the future for other projects.
