Rick was outstanding. We made the right choice after interviewing several. We were comfortable leaving our 5000 sq ft house in his hands. He send us update pictures each day of the progress. Prior he and his team dealt patiently with our uncertainty regarding stains. They came to our house multiple times to sand sections of our floors and sample stain until we finally decided. I highly recommend Woods Floors of Westport. I reached out to Rick after learning that our 3-year-old wood floors (installed by a different company) was infested with powder post beetles. We had a nightmare on our hands as our entire house (3200 sq feet) of hardwood floors had to be torn out and new flooring had to be installed. This was not an easy job so we were careful on who we selected for our installer. Rick talked us through the entire process and was well ahead of the curveballs that this job would deliver. His communication ahead of the job turned out to be correct and very helpful as he expressed to us the entire job at hand. Once the job was started, Rick and his team worked quickly and efficiently as they realized we were anxious to move back into our home. The final product was of superior quality. Rick explained to us the difference between finishes and what would work best for our family. He introduced us to Bona waterbase finish (as opposed to a poly finish) and we ended up taking his recommendation and could not be happier. When I was researching wood floors for my home, I had spoken to three different companies and Rick won my business with his expertise and professionalism. My foyer had outdated marble floors which Rick and his team were able to remove and replace with oak to match the rest of my home. His team also removed old carpets and refinished all wood floors throughout my home. Rick's years of flooring experience were evident as he was able to quickly identify issues and present best solutions. After the floors were done, Rick referred me to a painter who added quarter round moulding throughout my home, to cover the gaps between the baseboard and wood floors, and also repainted some walls and baseboard. Overall, the quality and turn around time were excellent and I highly recommend Rick to anyone looking for new floors.

Rick did an amazing job in helping to replace the damaged bamboo floor in my living room. He was attentive in exploring all the possibilities and hand-delivered samples to the house on more than one occasion. He measured and remeasured. Ultimately, we found just the right product and his expert installers did a great job laying it down. Wood Floors of Westport was recommended to me and I could not be more satisfied with the results. the floors look amazing! Rick was responsive to my initial call, set up a convenient appointment time to come look at the job and provided me with a competitive bid to do the work. He scheduled the job at a time that was convenient for me and when they came to do the work, the crew was on time, professional, clean and courteous. The Job entailed refinishing two large rooms floors with stain in one room and a natural finish in the other. The job was completed over a period of four consecutive days and when they were done, the crew cleaned the rooms and there was very minimal cleanup for me to do (given how messy the sanding process it, I was amazed that only a lite dusting was needed). I would highly recommend that you consider Wood Floors of Westport for your flooring needs. Given how satisfied I was with the first job, I have actually contracted them to refinish other wood floor areas in my house.
