With over 30 years experience in the field of interior design (both residential and commercial), holiday styling, lifestyle consulting, event/party styling and silent marketing, I enjoy watching my client's faces when they see their vision come to reality. With a casual, yet professional approach, I work in complete collaboration with our clients making sure their house becomes a home or their business becomes a place they look forward to going to. My team of experienced contractors and I enjoy working in and on historic New England homes and properties, as-well-as reproductions. With a focus on classic New England style interiors and exterior design, we excel in helping clients who enjoy American Colonial, English Country, French Country, Elegant Farmhouse, Gentleman Estates, Old World Maritime, Equestrian properties. I am also the publisher of New England Fine Living, the regions premier upscale shelter and lifestyle magazine and website. Linda, of NEFL, guided us with choosing wall & woodwork paint, a new carpet, and upholstery fabric for our living room. Her immediate understanding of our style and visions helped us to respect her suggestions, and her skill with color & texture selections made our room the way we had envisioned it. She is clearly comfortable and skilled with a wide range of styles, from our own ultra-traditional preferences to much more adventurous and bolder approaches. Linda is quick to recognize individual needs and lifestyles that affect living with each room, and the result is a room that truly works for us. We will not hesitate to hire NEFL for help with any future interior project!

I have worked with Linda Calder on decorating my home since 1999. The latest project we completed was the upstairs bathroom which looked like it did when we moved in 23 years ago. Linda designed the space, chose the fixtures, put me in touch with the cabinet maker and other subcontractors, and followed through on all aspects of the project. All of the vendors and products were excellent. The bathroom was done on time and within my budget. For many years Linda has also decorated my home for Christmas. She purchases live greens and other materials, dresses the mantel, arranges my decorations, and makes our home inviting. Every year is a new twist on a classic theme. In 2011 she decorated for a holiday party that I gave. She is a warm, friendly, creative person who is fun to work with. I recommend Linda for your designing needs.
