After 12 years of gaining invaluable interior design experience, Sal Modifica opened his own interior design company, Modifica Interiors LLC, in 1990. Modifica Interiors is versatile in that they complete projects varying from traditional, to transitional or classical, and focus on transforming spaces to the clients' desires and needs. They take a hands on, detailed approach, working with clients from concept to completion. When Sal first meets with a client, he takes into consideration what the clients truly want—not just a definition of a style, but what exactly does the style mean to them? He listens to the clients to discover the true reality of how they want to style their homes. Do they want to design their home based on who they are or how they see themselves? Design is a nonverbal, visual language that not many understand. Sal Modifica has the natural ability to ‘have a conversation with space’. The options provided by Modifica Interiors are limitless—Sal will present all options based on what he finds appropriate. He looks for things that inspire him by movement and that create emotion. He presents completely customizable and optimum options, followed by discussions based on availability and cost. Modifica Interiors is fortunate to have many new and returning clients, some of whom have returned for 10+ years to design and re-design their homes. Sal is most humbled by the trust that is given to him, and takes pride that his clients have complete confidence in his work.
