Mighty Roots

I'm not sure where to begin, other than to say that our experience working with Mighty Roots has been FABULOUS! They worked closely with us from the purchase of the lot, through the design of our dream home, to its completion. Everyone with whom we worked was talented, professional and creative. It was clear to us that everyone we met at this company was happy and liked working together, and they all showed great pride in their work. Because the company employs their own framing and finish carpenters, they can better control the quality of the final product which allows them to build truly special homes - their attention to detail and work product is impeccable. Once they broke ground, the crew was on the job every day, and were more than willing to talk through our questions and get our feedback on whatever they were working on (we owe a special shout out to Justin and Greg who worked in the coldest of cold days on our home!). The principals, Chris and Jeff, did a better job at staying on budget than we did, and always considered the cost of implementation during both the design and construction phases. And the cabinetry - beautiful and beautifully crafted - it is an incredible advantage to have custom cabinetry available as an integral part of the company and the project. Building a home can be a stressful thing to accomplish, but Mighty Roots earned our trust early and they made the process of designing and building a custom energy star rated home fun. If we had it all to do again, we would call them without hesitation.

Our contractor suggested we talk with Might Roots as a cabinet source for our kitchen renovation. Chris O'Neil was super great to work with and we couldn't be happier with our new kitchen! Chris was extremely helpful in helping us with the design and details. The custom cabinets that he and his team built for us are perfect and gorgeous. Thank you Chris!

I am very pleased with my kitchen renovation done by Little Green Homes. They are very knowledgeable designers and craftsmen, and they have high standards for their product. My kitchen is beautiful and thoroughly functional. It changes the whole character of my house. They also rebuilt and enlarged my deck and suggested designs for both projects that work well with the landscape and blend with the character of the house. The LGH staff were easy to work with and helped me with other projects that were not directly related to my renovation. I will be hiring them again soon to work on another renovation project!

Little Green Homes was recommended to us by an energy auditor who knew of their work, but had not known them personally. We hired them to make major external renovations on our house – all new windows and doors, complete new siding, a new roof, and replacing a deck and a screen porch. This group went well beyond what we expected in every regard: workmanship, communication, professionalism, reliable estimates… good people to work with at every level. Once they began the job, they were here daily, consistent hours, until it was done. We could count on them from start to finish. The contractors met with us weekly to go over the expenditures and discuss any decisions we would need to make. They gave clear honest explanations and recommendations, and no surprises. They were excellent consultants on energy efficiency. When offsite, they responded quickly to any concerns or questions. They always had a point person on site. They have a high standard for all of their subcontractors. They came in on budget and on time. The crew was a pleasure to have around for the entire two month renovation. Extremely considerate of our space, knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuine. The workmanship from drafting through execution was way above what we had expected. Along with the renovation work, Little Green Homes designed a beautiful post-and-beam screen porch, and the craftsmanship on that new construction was superb. Excellent experience with Little Green Homes. We had an addition adding a 2nd story bedroom and a kitchen annex / family room remodel. They did a fantastic job with exceptional quality and attention to detail. Love their commitment to eco-friendly design and build. The crew showed up on time and once the work started they were there every day, all day, until the job was done. Very nice, clean and respectful crew. Costs were laid out up front and were clear and specific. We had weekly meetings to go over all the details of the project, change orders and costs. At the end of the job, we were given an organized binder with all the receipts for every item purchased, subcontractors parts and labor, and copies of all payments. We highly recommend this company!
