Mass Energy Lab Insulation

Mass Energy Lab removed some of the old decrepit insulation from our basement ceiling and then replaced it with new batt insulation. The project was easy and done on time. They arrived at about 8:30am and left after cleaning by 11am or so. Allowed me to manage my life pretty well. I'd recommend them for a project like this.

Definitely one of the best contractors on here. Install was a breeze, I wanted them to insulate the utility room behind my basement gym and they got it done without any setbacks except for a 20 minute arrival delay on the day off but they did call ahead of time and were very apologetic so I am good with that.

We have a room above our garage that is absolutely freezing. My daughter uses it to play and we needed a solution to resolve how ridiculously cold it is in that room, anytime after September. We needed a solution and so we called Mass Energy Lab. They were very dilligent about solving our problem and tried to figure out many ways to do it. Going in from the ceiling below, insulation from the floors above and even considering the side. Josue from Mass Energy Lab just wanted to make sure that the insulation is touching the floor of the room above and not just "sitting" on the ceiling below. After all, he said, we want to insulate the room above and not garage. Its been one winter now and what a world of a difference! This summer... we will actually make sure that we insulate the walls of the room as well as the roof of the room to make it really cool in the summer too. Very worth it and exactly how I like to work. Called them on a Saturday. They called right back on a Monday. Came out on the Tuesday. Sent me a quote on Wednesday and then installed the following Monday, cleaning and all. Very happy with the customer service from the office indeed and a job done to my standards.

Their 3 person team showed up to our little cape in Lexington and did an excellent job of insulation our basement ceiling. They took their time to carefully remove the old batts that had deteriorated over the last 30 years or so after our drop ceiling had been removed and then put in new cleaner eco-friendly batt insulation. They ran a fan the entire time at the behest of my father in law and then cleaned up very well after themselves. Much recommended. Kudos to a job well done indeed.

I have hired multiple contractors through houzz.com before as well as purchased multiple items through the site and this was a great experience for us. Old foundational crawlspace needed to be insulated. They sent out a great team to remove the old stuff and even took care of the waste management. Then they spray foamed the floor. What I liked best is that they showed me pcitures and videos of everything. I appreciated the interactions and openness and would hire them again for any construction work.

One of the best contractors we have ever worked with. Very professional, very quick to respond to our requests and really good quality work. They even patched up an area on the walls that the insulation came through because of some finagling done by a previous contractor.

My GC recommended them for our sun room addition roof that needed to be spray foamed. The building inspector wanted us to get an rvalue and this was kind of last minute so we got Mass Energy Labs to come in within 3 days and do the project. They were here when they said they would be and they pulled it off. I appreciate that.

They spray foamed our basement walls with closed cell spray foam and advised us on how to achieve the building code. Very clean job.

They did an excellent service. Everything was on time and the final work of attic insulation was clean and very professionally done. Will hire again.

Hired them because of all the awesome reviews on here! They definitely are a solid bunch. Happy to have had them insulate our attic. Came out to visit 3 times because it’s a very complex job and they had no issues at all with this as they wanted to be extremely thorough. My HVAC guy was very impressed with their knowledge. You will not be disappointed.

When my home insurance company, whom I have used for more than 20 years for my home as well as auto, did a complete 180 on me and sent me a notice for putting in a solution for stopping the ice dams then I had to do something...and fast. I went online to figure out many options until I came across Shirley Leung's article in the Boston Globe about staring down ice dams right in the face and fighting it with insulation in the attic. So I looked around for a good insulation company and was happy find Mo and his team at Mass Energy Labs. They took care of me advising me on open cell vs close cell and then coordinated with my insurance company as well to provide a letter stating the solutions. All in all it was a success as we do not have the slightest bit of ice dams this year. I would recommend them to anybody with ice dam complications in an older home like mine. Anita
