Mary (Mimi) did an excellent job designing and creating a beautiful garden for us in Ridgefield, CT. She has an excellent team that came in got the job done in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend her landscape design expertise!

I have worked with Mary Adams Lines ( Mimi) since 2002 when we bought our house in Westchester. Mimi and I collaborated on the concept of the landscaping. We started with the back of the property, around an existing swimming pool. Over the next several years the front of the property was landscaped, and after a storm in 2007, when we lost 26 old trees we continued landscaping the denuded side of the property. Mimi became a friend and our collaboration over many years was artistically and practically a marvelous experience.

I was really happy with my garden when I moved onto a large property in Bedford twenty years ago--it was landscaped by someone else. Then two things happened: first, a terrible winter two years ago absolutely destroyed most of my Rhododendrons and many of my Viburnum plants. Second, just when I HAD to sell this white elephant, the whole front of my garden looked like a parched, squirrely, leggy, botanical war zone!! Help!! Mimi was visiting, and she immediately focused her considerable range of talents on my garden crisis. She worked like a maniac but with gorgeous efficiency and elegance. I didn't even want to be consulted; I wanted to be able to trust that someone could respond immediately to my gardening "issues." Mimi filled the whole front of the house with fragrant Lilacs and Periwinkles, with pips of Lily of the Valley, with lower, thicker Viburnum and she had the sketchy Boxwoods transplanted, recognizing their tired presence but transplanting them to fill in other landscape gaps. She'd drawn the whole thing out for me but I basically said, "Please don't make me try to imagine what this might look like, can I just trust you?" The house--previously on the market for years, off and on, don't even ask--was sold! I'm convinced it was my own painting of the tired woodwork, plus that wonderful botanical face-lift that clinched the sale. We'll never know, but I DO know that Mimi is terrific at her work.

I have had three gardens designed by "Mimi" and have been delighted with her creativity and design skills. One garden was a formal courtyard design made from a converted driveway that provided a beautiful, peaceful entry to my house with foliage and flowers all summer and interesting shapes for winter snow to decorate. The second garden is an enclosed raised bed vegetable garden which has delighted me with produce and bird life. The third is a shade garden where I escape from the summer heat; and surprisingly it is also full of blooms right through autumn. I enjoy Mimi's company and find her efficient, hard working and extremely creative. I continue to use Mimi to maintain gardens.
