FRAME NATION (NOW CLOSED) was founded in 2007 and has been called the city's custom framing boutique. One reason for that is our extensive selection of "what's next in frame design" and the area's source for traditional, contemporary & international frame design. We are members of the Professional Picture Framers Associaition (PPFA), Retail Merchants Association and a supporter of a variety of nonprofits. The owner and award winning designer/framer, Mary Fender, has achieved the designation of Master Certified Picture Framer (MCPF) by the PPFA and also is the only Guild Commended Framer (GCF) in the city of Richmond, VA. The shop, in which all work is done onsite, is located in Richmond's historic Shockoe Design District. Here you will find Richmond exclusives like Recycle style framing and profiles made of unique materials. From hand carved cedar, welded steel to custom cut acrylic, we have the styles to fit your art and budget. We offer 4 levels of framing; from poster quality to museum standards.
