Designing a functional kitchen requires comprehension of space, needs and financial resources. Our limited space in an apartment unit did not seem to offer room for much. However, my husband and I sketched an idea for the space and brought it over to Luv My Kitchens for their review. The kitchen designer team vested their professionalism into our sketch and brought it to a new level of simplicity and beauty. They showed us how more functional our space could work by reducing the size of the of stove; which allowed not only for a wider drawer cabinet, but also for a convenient pull out cabinet. The refrigerator space was also transformed into an elegant cabinet that even includes an open space to feature special items such as a hand-painted jar or a flower vase. Once we settled into a cabinet style the team offered a realistic time for product delivery. Installing new cabinets in an almost 100 year old building brings its own challenges. However, Efrain Machado personally addressed those challenges, instructing his team on how to address them. Every day, he returned and evaluated the installers' work until he was personally satisfied with the results; demonstrating the level of professionalism and personal involvement with every kitchen that Luv My Kitchens designs and brings to life for the satisfaction of customers.

I chose LMK because of the excellent reviews on this page. I return here to share my experience, which was far from excellent. My kitchen renovation evidenced flawed design, a problematic installation, and an unprofessional, even antagonistic, response to problems. The problems on my project were due to the fact that, as he informed me midway through, Efrain had "never before had so little involvement in a project." The project was given over to an inexperienced designer who produced a plan that looked excellent on paper but proved to be way off on measurements: appliances did not fit, cabinets did not fit, a fixture was not centered to the table. They could not even deliver a recycle bin to fit the pull-out apparatus. The on-site person overseeing installation was likewise inexperienced. I sent detailed emails on problems as they became evident. Instead of coming to my apartment to see the problems and focus on solutions, Efrain sent long, defensive emails, with boiler-plate flourishes about the excellence they provide and how much they value their customers. Never once did Efrain take responsibility. Ultimately, most problems were resolved, but the distress lingers beyond the project’s completion. Future clients may have satisfying experiences, but I contracted and paid for professional design, effective communications, and expert execution and did not get it.

Efrain, Judith and the rest of the team were incredibly kind and highly professional in providing us a quality kitchen at an optimal speed. The team was diligent in following up with us, responding to all of our questions/concerns, and working within our time schedule. We never had a single issue with communicating with the team, who was always attentive to us and our needs! We greatly appreciate their hard work and are loving our new kitchen!

Efrain Machado was the genius behind the full kitchen renovation in my Brickell condo. Although it was a small space/project there were a few challenges that needed creative solutions. Efrain studied the problems and came up with brilliant solutions and he did so very quickly—I could almost see the “light bulb” go on in his mind when the solutions came to him. He even had the added challenge of having to redesign my kitchen plans when a long standing cabinet maker from whom he was planning to order my cabinets abruptly closed down. His resolve and calm under such pressure was amazing to witness! Efrain and Judy were always available to answer my calls, texts, and emails. Efrain readily stopped by the job site to assess issues when I had concerns about the way the subcontractors did things not to my liking. He quickly figured out solutions to their mistakes and had workers out to fix the problems, to my satisfaction, in record time. (I think Judy came by at one point to take measurements—great teamwork)! Efrain has a strong work ethic and takes great pride in his visions and will pull out all the stops to make sure his design is executed perfectly. He doesn’t stop until all of the “i”s are dotted and the “t”s are crossed. His attention to detail and desire to deliver quality work is second to none—just what you would want from a designer. Efrain’s kitchen design was right on point and with Judy’s wealth of knowledge in ALL things to do with appliances and fittings (and everything in between) my new kitchen is more than I had imagined it could be. Luv My Kitchens just finished a beautiful new kitchen in our Miami Beach home of 15 years. We don't know why we waited so long! Efrain and team did a fantastic job and followed through to the end. The quality of the cabinetry is top notch and Efrain gives great design ideas along the way. We're very happy with everything.

Luv My Kitchens is an ideal partner to work with. Efrain listens to what you want, then he designs what you need. He will work as closely as possible to make your project what you imagined it would be. And he will project manage if necessary and make sure everything happens. Of course all projects take longer and cost more than you thought, but that's the way ALL construction works! He handled our kitchen, bar area, and master bath. All turned out excellently.

I just finished a kitchen project with Luv My Kitchens. Efrain and Judy have been very accommodating from the very start to make sure that we kept within my budget and helped through the decision making process so that it stayed that way. The kitchen design was a bit complex and being myself an architect, there were a lot of little details to work out. Judy made sure all of my requests were met and was always available for all my questions. She stayed on top of every little detail in the order and I couldn't be more grateful. From the planning, to the set up of permits from The City of Miami Beach building department to the gutting and rebuilding of my beach front apartment, the work was excellent. We are so happy that our contractor suggested we contact Luv My Kitchens for our kitchen remodel. Efrain and his team were so easy to work with, they were attentive, responsive and made sure any question or issue we had was addressed. On top of it Efrain had the foresight to see that we had wood beams under our ceiling, something no one else had thought or suggested. As a result our kitchen is beyond what we originally anticipated and we're constantly complimented on our wood beams! I was so happy with their work I suggested them to my sister in law and mother in law. BOTH of whom used them for their kitchens and both have GORGEOUS kitchens. For my MIL the back splash Efrain suggested is one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. It looks perfect, and his ideas on how to open up a small apartment kitchen have transformed both my MIL and SIL's apartments. My family would only recommend Efrain and his team, after seeing his work on three kitchens I can honestly say they take pride in their work and go above and beyond. I highly recommend them.

The kitchen in our condo was "the original." This may mean nothing to you, but those words elicited sad nods of understanding, empathy and even pity from everyone in our building. It was time to make a change. We started the process by going to kitchen stores, showrooms, etc., and we were soon overwhelmed by the possibilities. A neighbor told us about LUV MY KITCHEN. Efrain Machado won our confidence and gratitude as he took the time to get to know us and understand what we needed, what we wanted. When he visited the apartment, he explained how he would find us more space, how drawers would be more efficient than cabinets in certain areas, how the deep pantry closet could be made more useful, even how to make the corner under-counter cabinet accessible. We worked together -- he always respectful of our questions and concerns -- in putting together a final plan. LUV MY KITCHEN choreographed the building of our new kitchen, bringing in plumbers, electricians, carpenters as needed. They suggested changed in some of the materials we had chosen as the pieces came together and they saw that some of our choices were going to give us a very dark-looking, far-too-serious kitchen. By then, Efrain knew us well, and he was right. I have room for everything in our kitchen. (There's always room for something extra in the cabinets -- a genuine luxury.) And the room is beautiful. Judy was great! She helped me all the way. Great response! Even working on Sundays and taking always the time to answer my calls. They did a great design job. Unfortunately I decided not to hire them (due to budget issues!) but they did the design for me and I was very pleased with it.

We hired Luv My Kitchens to do a complete Kitchen renovation. They were very patient and tireless with us as we worked through many iterations of design. Once the project started, they were true to their timeline, did what they said they would do and were unbelievably tidy and clean throughout. They were also in line with their contract and porjected cost estimator and did not ask us to pay for any additional items along the way. He is a truly gifted designer whose understanding of architectural space and the requirements of a working kitchen is matched by an incredible attention to detail and the ability and willingness to keep creative and classy within any budget. We were amazed by the extent to which Efrain personally supervised (in fact, fly-specked) every aspect of this project. His team follows his lead . . . all pros and an outright pleasure to deal with. The Miami marketplace is not typically user friendly. Luv My Kitchens is a rare exception.

Again I have to use Luv My Kitchen for my bar proyect. It came beautiful in a grey finnished wood. Using like always Efraim great taste for the design.
