Linda Spry Interior Design

Linda Spry (with her most capable assistant, Kate Delahanty; and with her very helpful husband, Charles Spry) is the most capable designer we have worked with among a good number over the years. We purchased a home in a market where little was available, and frankly, we were not happy with the home. We brought Linda in just a few days after we closed, and even with delays in production and delivery, etc., she came up with a color scheme and concept, got everything done timely (all but the finishing touches are done 6 months later), gave us excellent advice, thought out of the box, found the right touches, and knew all the right vendors for painting, electrical work & lighting, wallpaper, tile, a complete (and beautiful) master closet rebuild, bedroom furnishings and designer touches, indoor and outdoor tile, and the list goes on. And she stayed very close to our budget limits, which we appreciate. She charges an initial design fee and a percentage of goods and services she (and her vendors) provide, and the result is straightforward billing that eliminates any questions about how many hours it should take to find an item, etc. This is not decorating on a shoestring - but she charges reasonable fees and is absolutely worth it. Linda also integrates existing pieces into a plan so nothing is wasted. We never could have put together this design on our own. We never knew we would like this color scheme until she put it into place. Our house is still from our ideal; however, it has the touches of luxury we want, a hint of the upscale and formal surroundings we needed without sacrificing comfort and livability. I also have to mention Charles Spry particularly. In the midst of our remodeling, we found we had an undisclosed roof leak that was fairly major, and that ruined a wall and portions of our wooden floor. Being new to the area, we knew no one. Charles put us in touch with a vendor who got our roof fixed promptly to stop the damage; another vendor to repair/replace the wall, and a wood floor specialist who actually went out and found matching floor boards (to replace ruined floor boards of a style officially discontinued in 2013!). All of it was done at reasonable prices. You just can't do better than this. Linda hints at retiring one of these days. If you need excellent service, great taste, decades of experience, all the contacts you might imagine, and great work at fair cost, look no further. This is your designer. We give her our highest marks - and they are lovely people, too.

Linda Spry is a five star designer ! Her ability and integrity are superb in every way ! She took care of the smallest to largest details . Everything was perfect when we arrived at our vacation home .

We hired Linda and Kate to provide some interior decorating for our newly remodeled condo in Longboat Key. Because we come for frequent yet relatively short vacations from up north, we wanted vibrant Florida colors to offset the neutral non-trendy furniture and wall colors we had chosen. Essentially, we provided the canvass upon which they were to paint. Linda and Kate did an outstanding job providing everything from additional furnishings to wall art and decorative items. Ultimately our condo is light and bright with accent colors everywhere. Their selections complemented everything we had done, and we love coming to our “new” Longboat Key home even more now.

My experience working with Linda and Kate was pleasant and productive and entirely satisfactory. They helped me choose pieces of furniture and replaced the kitchen counters. They send competent people to do whatever scheduled work is to be done, from repair to installation to specialized cleaning and moving heavy pieces of furniture. They are A+.

I enjoyed working with Linda, she's very professional, dependable and knowledgeable. If I were to move again( God willing no!) I would not hesitate to call her for her services once again. My wife found her online somehow and in hindsight I could not be more pleased that she did. Highly recommend!

Linda was hired to help my husband and me renovate a condo on Longboat Key. I was impressed with her extensive experience in renovations and timely advice in choosing finishes. She has excellent vendors at the ready to provide carpeting, drapes, tile, shutters, furniture, etc. She has a well practiced eye in choosing the right color and proportion for each room. It was fun shopping with her! She kept our contractor on schedule and pointed out where the workmanship was lacking. Since we were located in another state, her eyes on the project were invaluable. She helps you choose finishes and items that are beautiful and timeless. I don't know what we would have done without her!
