I’m a Georgia native, Kentucky girl. I’m a wife to a wonderful husband and Mama to three beautiful children. I’m a lover of design. (I remember pushing furniture around my room at a very early age!) I’m a graduate of Agnes Scott College (Economics and Business) and the University of Georgia (Art: Interior Design). I believe your house should be your home. It should tell your story. Whether you are a collector, DIYer or have items that have been passed through generations, each piece should have a place and add a detail, not only to your home, but to the story. I believe that my style is not necessarily your style. As a designer one of my most important jobs is to listen to you dream. Together we will interpret how that translates to your story, I will guide and assist you in making choices that fit within your budget. I believe interior design is more than beautiful rooms with perfectly placed objects. It’s about relationships with beautiful people that are as inspired as I am. Ultimately it’s about finding the perfect complements between color, space, and objects that bring pleasure to you every time you walk your home.

My husband and I hired Laura to help with building and decorating our forever home. From picking out sinks, cabinets, furniture, and rugs, she made the process an easy, stress free experience. When decorating our bookcases, Laura impressed me with how she took items that meant a lot to me and incorporated them into the design. I will definitely hire Laura again and I highly recommend her!

The day my husband said that we could build I began researching design, pouring over articles on building homes, and saving ideas that I wanted. I was worried, terrified actually because of all the horror stories of building. That was before Laura came along. I honestly don’t think we should ever build again because it couldn’t have gone more smoothly...actually NO one should build without her because I can’t imagine it going well without her! She took my vision and made it perfect and allowed every personality to shine through effortlessly. She also handles people professionally and keeps her clients calm and positive. Her demeanor is what you want while building but also the woman is SMART! Throw away any diagrams of what you think you need and just get Laura!

My husband and I used Laura from start to finish on our first ever custom build. She was so helpful throughout the process that it made the project seem less stressful and not overwhelming at all. It was such an enjoyable process that I would do it again, especially with the help from Laura. I could have never achieved my vision for our home without her guidance along the way! I give her praise whenever I can! She's the best at what she does, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is building or remodeling. She listens to the customer and I think that is what makes her so special! As an added bonus, you get to build an awesome friendship with her along the way!

My husband and I used Laura while building our forever home. She was there with us from the very beginning. She kept me sane , made my decisions easy . She kept me focused and on track. And even helped with my three little ones . She met with us several times and took care of everything. Met with contractors , going to the house to check on things and she kept us on budget . Her style and attitude far exceeded my expectations. My home is beautiful , and functional and Laura made it all happen. I would recommend her to anyone. She is absolutely amazing. She knows her stuff y'all, she reads blue prints and just gets to know the space and really puts her whole heart into your home. I will be using her again , any time I need anything . Alina Vessels

My husband and I realized our dream of bulding a lake home. Laura was with us every step of the way....from consulting on the house plans, selecting all materials and colors on the inside and out, being a liaison between builder, architect, and contractors, to picking out furniture and fabrics. Laura continues to provide input on the finishing touches. Because we live out of state, Laura was flexible when meeting with us and because our time was often limited she made every minute count. She spent lots of time texting, emailing, and on the phone when we couldn't meet in person. Laura has great professional relationships in Bowling Green and put us in contact with all the right people. Laura helped us make selections within our budget that created the look and feel we were going for. We are so happy with the work that Laura did that we asked her to help us with some remodeling of our Nashville home.

When we began construction of a new home in Bowling Green our lumber company sales man told me of Laura Childers. He told me how great she was and it really caught my attention. We are retired and after having built 3 other houses I knew what was ahead for us in decisions. At this stage of life I was more interested in letting someone of her professional skill make decisions . She knows the process from the ground up to hanging the last piece of art or accessorizing . She figured out my taste and gave me great options to choose from. I could not be happier. People commented to me often about what a hassle it was to build and I would smile and say not with Laura Childers!

We built a house in 2014 and had no clue what we were doing. We had a wonderful builder (Kirby Builders) and we also hired Laura as our designer. She helped design and decorate the entire house (both inside and out). She was wonderful and really made our house beautiful. She is an amazing designer and an even better person. We are now happy to call her a lifelong friend and would recommend her for any designing/decorating needs!

Laura was recommended by my builder and did not disappoint! My husband and I built a custom home from the ground up and Laura was with us every step of the way. She helped with everything including brick/mortar, stone, cabinets, lighting, fixtures, tile, granite, stain, trim, and paint. She helped me go for what I wanted and not be "too safe." Thank goodness she was helping me or everything would have been a different shade of beige! My husband loved his custom bar area complete with barnwood, tumbled brick accent wall, and floating shelves with backlighting...we truly love our home and Laura helped make the process an enjoyable one versus stressful. My husband and I highly recommend her and have referred two friends/work associates already. We have future plans to use her for interior decorating as well (window treatments/rugs etc).

Laura was hired by my wife to assist in a major renovation and remodeling of a house we had lived in for 40 years. I only had contact with her near the end of the project as my wife died in July 2013 and the project was finished in September 2013. She did a great job, not only on the interior design but only construction details that I would not normally expect from an interior designer.

This was my very first project in Bowling Green, and Bunny and all the Owsleys will always be near and dear to me. It was such a pleasure to know and spend time with Bunny through this project and the help execute her plans after she passed. I think of her often and get to tell this story as I now have a piece of her furniture in my own house!
