Kimberly is a miracle worker! After having worked with Kimberly on numerous remodeling projects over the years (most recently, May 2014 living room and kitchen remodel), I would never call anyone else. Beyond her fabulous design talent, Kimberly listens to her clients and works tirelessly to make their dreams a reality. Always conscious of budget constraints, she has taken even the most difficult situations and made them work beautifully (all of my projects were challenging). I am looking forward to Kimberly's help with my next (and hopefully last) endeavor on my 1940's home after the new year.

Kimberly DuBose has provided exceptional advice and design expertise thoughout the process of setting up our new home. We basically were starting from scratch as we'd sold our old furniture that we'd used in our previous home. Kimbery went with us one room at a time an developed the perfect look and functionality for our lifesytle and new location. She walked us through picking out carpets, furniture accessories, bed covering etc There was no detail to small. The end result was a home that was functional, beautiful, and elegant. You can't go wrong in chosing her as your design consultant.

I hired Kimmy to help me with my first personal place as a young professional. I had a limited budget, hardly any furniture, and needed work to be done quickly. She worked with what I had, listened to my needs and produced them. The work she did exceeded my expectations! I absolutely love coming home to my place. And my friends were stunned and amazed with the transformation. I asked Kimmy for some original art and was so pleased with how it turned out in my living room, I asked her to paint 2 more pieces for my office. I wanted to create a comfortable environment and help put clients at ease. Once again, she exceeded my expectations. Kimmy continues to work with me as needed to build on the original design of both my home and office. I especially appreciate that she’s still willing to work with me even though I live in Charlotte and she’s in Wilmington. I would highly recommend Kimmy as she really has an eye for design!

Kimmy helped us choose furniture from Ethan Allen for the living room of our new home in Wilmington. She came to the house, drew up plans for several different furniture placements to accomodate the new items we wanted to buy and several bulky inherited pieces. She had many helpful ideas and suggestions. It was a pleasure to work with her. Kimmy is a hardworking and talented professional who listens to her clients!

Kim worked with me and my husband to renovate and furnish a three bedroom home in Charleston SC. We had relocated from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home and were starting completely from scratch. With obvious budget constraints, time sensitivity, and no shortage of emotional duress, Kim skillfully guided us through the process of turning a drab little house into a warm and friendly home. Kim helped us reallocate space by changing the layout, choose colors, place lighting, purchase furnishings, and arrange artwork. Perhaps her greatest skill as an artist and professional is her sensitivity to her clients' reactions to different scenarios, ideas and price points. We spent four years in the house, and never once wished we had made different choices or design decisions. When a professional can engage you so well in the creation of your own home, it makes all the difference in the outcome. Kim knows how to read her clients' ideas and needs and then enhance them rather than impose her own taste on others (though she has beautiful taste!). She is a gracious and skilled professional who can be trusted with challenging scenarios as well as challenging personalities.

As a good friend of Kim's, I asked her to hep me with my renovation. We needed more space for our extended family. After consulting with Kim, we came up with a plan! We added an up stairs with two bedrooms, two baths, and a sitting area. This meant raising the roof! Kim drew up the plans and drew the plans for our contractor. She was fabulous. We also gutted our kitchen, increased the size of our foyer, and enlarged the master bedroom to add two closets, and a new bathroom.. As a side note, all six family members lived in the house during the renovation. The work was done in the way that Kim instructed, and believe it or not, it wasn't bad. We now have a home that accommodates all six of us! She was a pleasure to work with and she was on top of everything. We love our home! Kim also helped me with the decorating. We are a combined family and we had a lot of furniture. She knew exactly how to use it all. I would certainly recommend Kim's services to anyone. She stayed on budget, on time, and worked well with our contractor.

Having worked alongside Kim for many years in the interior design industry, I must say that I have the utmost respect for her. She is always focused on the needs of her clients and treats every single project with great care. I have watched Kim handle small projects all the way up to designing homes from the ground up, complete with impeccable furnishings. She listens to her clients and is respectful of their needs, installation deadlines and budgets. Kim is a true professional, always has a great attitude and is simply a joy to work with!

Mrs. DuBose is extremely professional, and helped me to choose items for my home without being pushy or injecting her own taste into the sale. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know. Also, Ethan Allen has some very fine furniture and fabric offerings.
