Kim Colwell Design

Where should I start? I've known Kim for years. I've worked with her on many occasions. From apartments, homes and a couple commercial spaces. I had 1 apartment that was truly transformed. People who visited thought I moved into a new apartment. I love her master knowledge of Feng Shui! She knows how to make a space feel incredible. Her interior design is on point! Her ideas, her vision, her resources and her beautiful energy is wonderful! I can't wait to work with her again soon!

My wife and I were blown away by Kim’s magic…She got our confidence at the start by sitting us down and asking us questions to get to know us better and what we were hoping to accomplish from our session…Her suggestions for reorganizing our office at first seemed daunting by the amount of work involved. But they made sense. And we surprised ourselves how quickly we dove into the project and how soon we reaped the benefits. We switched desks, got rid of a bookshelf overflowing with books and papers, hid a waste basket and shredder by repositioning them under a desk and bought a lateral file cabinet. Soon after we were done, the sleek, clutter-free appearance of our office has had the effect of driving us to complete our work much faster and to tie up all loose ends such as writing this review. Amazing to us how the look ties into our motivation. In retrospect it all seems logical but there was a big hump related to the psychology of change that Kim helped us get over…The bedroom addition of a statement wooden dresser and accent chair added a nice sensual edge which we’ve been enjoying…And the clutter on the bookcase in the living room had been an eyesore we’d chosen to ignore. But Kim got us to take a closer look at that and we conveniently moved a favorite magazine rack from the office to the right of the sofa where the “clutter” is now accessible and neatly organized. And the feel is now much cleaner there…We strongly recommend Kim to anyone looking to get more out of their space both functionally and aesthetically. Thanks Kim for the great job!

Kim is exceptional. She is effortless in how she blends your view of how a room should feel and look with edge, comfort and sophistication. She listens and hears differing tastes from couples and is able to synthesize taste that is harmonious to both persons. Kim also inspires you to go beyond the traditional and brings your voice to the overall style of a room and home.

We have had the fortunate opportunity to work with Kim on a couple projects. She is wonderful and gentle, just as. you might expect from a Feng Shui expert. She has a wonderful eye and a lovely sense of humor. We look forward to working with her on more projects in the future.

I hired Kim several years ago to design both my home and office. She and her team did a beautiful job which included an extensive remodel, removal of walls to create an open floor plan, new electrical, flooring, refinishing the cathedral wooden cladding on the ceiling, and extensive designs throughout. She is undeniably talented, smart, artistic and tasteful with impeccable personal style and attention to detail. There was never a time when she wasn't a step ahead of what was required of her and responsive at all times. I found that her heart was in the project. I live out of the country now, but still plan to figure out a way to have Kim consult with us on our new home for creative ideas and at least the floor plan. We highly recommend her to anyone who wants to remodel their home.

Kim Colwell is your best advocate. She follows your vision and enhances it with her experience and impeccable taste. She will create your optimum design project down to the last detail, respecting your budget. In addition to creating your design space; she will professionally and respectfully interact on your behalf with any other contractors involved in your project; this allows your project to come into fruition with good, open communication. I have worked with Kim on three of my offices. She is the first person I call when I know that I need to create a new vision.

As a Professional Organizer I work with many Interior designers and Kim is one of my most favorite. I've had the pleasure of working with Kim on several occasions and she's a joy to be around. Her knack for reading the client as well as the space is supreme! Her calm centered demeaner is infectious and I continue to reccomend her services to all of my clients in need of a professional Interior designer!

Our living room is AMAZING. Everybody says our place looks like a tv show gave it a makeover – so that makes me very happy! Kim is really so gifted. I can't even tell you how blown away I was by Kim's vision. She is so good at what she does! It was so great to hear what she had to say, about my studio space. She worked with pieces I had and moved them so they made more sense and the pieces she added I loved and afterwards the studio had a better flow to it. When you work with her she listens to you and almost like channels your vision of what you want but don't know how to achieve it and makes it come true, but sees things you would not have thought of but are great. She is a great talent and has great vision and ideas and she is a delight to work with. I always recommend her to anyone that is looking for a interior designer with a little something extra!

Kim designed my store on Robertson blvd. It was gorgeous and etherial, with incredible attention to detail. She captured the essence of my brand while giving my clients an ambiance that was truly magical. I am currently working with her on my house and am just as happy and excited for the results.
