I was referred to Julie by a friend and hiring her was the best decision. I had hired a different contractor who completely botched the job. Julie came in to do the last phase of my three phased renovation - remodeling my children's childhood bathroom into a walk in shower with the most beautiful tiles and design. My extremely particular husband loves it. She is a professional who guided me through every step. She took me to several different vendors until I found exactly what I was looking for. She oversaw every aspect. Any questions I had were immediatley responded to. An added bonus was that the contractor she brought and his crew where respectful and talented. I would highly recommend Julie in any capacity you are lucky enough to use her for.

I worked with Julie Holzman on the renovation of a 1970"s ranch house where we did a good amount of work. Our aim was to create a mid-century feel with clean and simple features. First of all, Julie is the consummate professional; Julie has a great sense of design and knows her stuff. She works efficiently and smartly. Julie was really helpful in helping me stick to our vision and not stray from it. It was also important to me that we stay on budget; Julie was very mindful of costs and always provided various options at different cost levels. I hired Holzman Interiors to design cabinetry and layouts for bath and kitchen renovation of a condo in White Plains, NY. We had three small bathrooms and kitchen to remodel. We did a whole house renovation with Julie over the last 9 months. In this nearly five month project, Julie has been on budget and more importantly, on time with all portions of the project. As we are nearing the end of the construction phase, the thoughtful selection of the design elements are all starting to all pull together. I can hardly wait to see the final product. Julie Holzman is an excellent designer with Impeccable taste. She worked well with the Coop Board and building staff. Her contractor was excellent. The kitchen and bathrooms exceed expectations.

Not worth the headache, over priced and does not deliver what she says she will do. If I could give 0 stars I would. We learned our lesson so consider yourself warned. I would not recommend her to anyone. I had to deal with contractors practically all the time and her oversight of the project was poor at best. Stay away.

Great Style, Service, and Value! Julie renovated my two bathrooms, staying within my modest budget while providing extraordinary service and outstanding style. I am very satisfied with her work and would recommend her to others.

Extensive renovation NYC Landmarks building. Ms. Holzman managed the complete renovation with excellent contractors and subcontratctors, including a specialist for filing for NYC Landmark permits and inspections, and working with very demanding building rules. She has excellent resources and is willing to find less expensive solutions when necessary, made easier with her great esthetic and knowledge of vendors. She kept a tight control on expenses although the project became much larger with the addition of totally new upgraded electricity throughout the apartment which had not been touched since the 1940's. She was always available for suggestions, questions, meetings and shopping trips. Ms. Holzman was a pleasure to work with and we are delighted with the final result. We have managed to preserve the unique character of the apartment with all the amenities of contemporary living.

This was our first time doing a renovation on this scale, and using a professional designer. We are pleased with the results. While no project is completed "glitch free," we were pleased that there was plenty of communication, and our inquiries were always answered promptly. Problems that arose were dealt with quickly, and alternative solutions were found. Most important, we are very happy with our renovated apartment, and proud of our new home. We would recommend Holzman Interiors to others contemplating a design project.

Julie joined "Our Family" approximately 7 years ago as we were ready to embark on adding a 5 story wing to an existing house. She presented beautiful selections for us to choose from for the various spaces of our home. Her selection of fabrics, furniture and finishes were reflective of our style. Julie is great working within your budget. She works with you until you find the furnishings you love, not the furnishings she loves. Your home should reflect you not your decorators and her firm works with you to accomplish that. I respect her professional knowledge and experience. I am quite picky and like to explore all options before making a decision (which would drive some decorators crazy) but not her. She genuinely wants you to be happy with your decisions. The professionals she works with from painters to cabinetry people are the best at what they do. I've been very happy with all the work. You may think that you can do all this yourself but in fact working with a decorator like Holzman Interiors saves you money.

Julie has been working with me to reupholster the furniture in my living room. She found fabrics and an excellent upholsterer at a good price. We're now working on window treatments and painting. She is a good listener so she understands what I'm looking for and the process moves along quickly. She didn't push me into anything. She gave me options and advice and was very respectful of our budget. She's very experienced and knowledgeable. I trust her judgment.

Julie Holzman is a pleasure to do business with. She handled a kitchen renovation for me which involved a lot of work, over a somewhat long period of time, in a fairly small space. I am very happy with the results. She's got an excellent design sense, and is particularly good at accommodating the client's ideas into the overall design scheme. (I've known some designers who hate listening to their clients.) Even more important, at least to me, Julie is extremely well organized and professional, and always keeps the project moving. She has a posse of suppliers and contractors who work very well with her and treat her like royalty. Finally, I think Julie is a lot of fun. Her enthusiasm is unflagging, she handles issues with good cheer, and she is very good at client hand-holding. My only real complaint is that now the kitchen looks so much better than the rest of the apartment that I will be forced to do more renovations out of a sense of shame. I plan to work with Julie on these future projects.

Julie Holzman designed several rooms in my house including the living room, master bedroom, and kids' bedrooms. She also redesigned an original library into a family room and renovated a bathroom. The library was off the kitchen and was the perfect place for our family room. The difficulty was that it was an odd shaped room and there were shelves around the entire perimeter. Julie had the idea of placing the tv above the fireplace and taking the shelves off of the wall across from the tv to make room for a sofa. She then had the contractor alter the shelves so they would fit in another section of the room. It was a terrific answer to our needs, but it didn't break the bank. I am so happy with the results of the rooms she completed. She was easy to work with and kept the projects moving along smoothly.

Julie Holzman of Holzman Interiors designed the new kitchen in my coop apartment, built 1911, as well as two bathrooms. The results are splendid. Julie considered the character of the building, listened to my own thoughts, and designed a kitchen of elegance and gravity that looks completely "meant to be" -- and also has tons of storage space. The baths are beautiful: one is sumptuous and serene, the other is playful and delightful. Julie is deeply experienced and also easy-going and easy to work with -- never a hint of impatience even when I was looking at every white tile in NYC trying to find just the right white. Our contractor was impressed with her attention to detail and quickness in trouble-shooting. They made a great team. As for her design sensibility and taste, it is very refined; at the same time, she is open-minded. It's a winning combination. Working with Julie was FUN.

Holzman Interiors was hired for a complete bathroom renovation and upgrade. From the beginning Julie was on task, making insightful recommendations, adhering to the agreed schedule and most especially the budget. Julie Holzman is simply terrific. She has great taste and is the consummate professional. She really listens. She has terrific contacts, having been in the business for many years, great sources and gives you plenty of attention even if you have a small project. I went to her for help after the designers I hired skipped town halfway through decorating an entire house. She was the only decorator I interviewed (and I spoke with many) who understood I had no desire to start over from scratch. She looked at what had been started, remained true to the original vision, made an exact assessment of what was needed to finish the job. She didn't waste time trying to convince me to get rid of things just because I had purchased them from other decorators. In fact, she made the entire experience a pleasure and now the house looks sensational. I wish I could have hired her from the beginning. A year later, I relied on her expertise to do another project that included painting and drapery installation and ordering a few items to spruce up another residence including custom rugs. Again, fabulous results, right down to the perfect match of colors in the yarn of the rugs to match a sofa that I didn't wish to replace. If you want a beautiful home, and you want it done right the first time, I would hire Holzman Interiors without hesitation, and would recommend her with the utmost enthusiasm.
