I am looking for mike. He has taken the money and not completed the work. I find this has happened to many others. I will update if he gets in touch and resolves the issue.

Anyone looking at this company. Stay as far away as possible. Mike Mikolajcik is a very manipulative, smooth talking, lying con man. He will only show up to collect money . The work crew are left to themselves doing unacceptable work. We spent over $100,000 and our yard looks horrible . We just spend more money to redo the awful work . I will try to attach pictures of how he left our yard. claiming he is out of business.

I typically do not write reviews but I had to write this one because I hope other homeowners like me do not become a victim of Mike Mikolajcik. Please do not use this contractor. After checking for his license, it is already under suspension. I have also filed a complaint against him to the licensing board. But since his license is already suspended, I am not sure if my complaint makes a difference. After getting the initial deposit, he will not return your calls, and will not complete your job. It is not just my experience but few of my neighbors as well. Ours is a new community and we were all looking for a contractor to do our backyards..as a result..few of my neighbors also ended up using this contractor. In all fairness, he does good quality work at reasonable rates but the whole experience of waiting for him to complete the work and not returning calls is so draining that it's not worth it. He got the initial deposit from me, and after that there was no word from him. I kept calling him and sending text messages. I wish there a way to paste the transcript of my text messages with him...that would be more than enough to expose his silly lies and excuses. He will not return your calls or respond to text messages. I was still okay with delays if he had been professional and honest enough to tell me the realistic time frame for completing the work. But he was not even willing to give me the time frame and just said I have not answers for you...This is the height of unprofessionalism especially after getting the 50% deposit for completing the work. I now have no option but to seek the legal route, and he appeared to not care about it. My neighbors are also contemplating the legal option to get refund for their deposit. I am dragging him to court..hopefully after that he will not make other homeowners suffer the same fate as me and my neighbors. Please save your hard earned money and time and headache. Do not use this contractor.

Mike Mikolajcik did an outstanding job in designing and building my backyard. I purchased a new home at Dublin in Schafers Ranch. It is an average size back yard and he did a very creative design within our budget. He was very knowledgeable and professional in his work. His price quote was very reasonable and quality of materials and selection of plants was excellent. He also built a viewing deck which is very useful and also enhances the look of my backyard. My house is a corner lot with an excellent view of Mountains. Design and construction of my backyard has enhanced the view. Work was done a few days ahead of the schedule and we are extremely happy with quality of his work which matched our budget. We will highly recommend him without any hesitation.

Home and Garden Construction Group was a pleasure to work with! Everyone was very professional and they kept to the timeline that we discussed. The project went smoothly with no hiccups. They understood our vision and brought it to life! We are very pleased and would recommend to everyone (already have).

Did excellent design and skillful installation of the landscape make-over at our 2/3 acre home. Job was on time and on budget; in fact, project looks better than I expected and cost less then I expected. Crews were tidy and courteous, without exception. There were no surprises except that they delivered more than bargained for. We are delighted with the results and will use them again. Highly recommended.

Completely satisfied! Transformed my mother's driveway, walkway, and porch from ordinary concrete to gorgeous pavers. From original 4' wide straight paths to elegant 5' serpentine paths. What a huge difference! The entire process was easy with no surprises. Consultation-to-completion in under a month. Demolition-to-finish in under 10 days. Dave Garcia gladly worked with us throughout the entire project; from design elements, very reasonable bid, though each of the project steps. Easy to reach with speedy responses. The scheduling staff followed up with email confirmations of appointments - very professional. It helped us tremendously to visit their brickyard in Concord, where we could see and touch the materials before starting. We decided on a large slate look installed on a diagonal layout, sturdy paver edging, and chisel-edge natural limestone steps. Beautiful! The crew was friendly and energetic, with superb craftsmanship. They went over and above basic construction to help me move a tree stump out of the way, and bring in topsoil filler at no extra charge. Clean finish! We will definitely use HGCG again for the next phases: front yard landscaping, side yard retaining wall, back yard RV pad. It may take us a few months/years to budget the next projects, but I can rely on HGCG to be there when we're ready.

The whole team understood our vision, and were very respectful to our property and project. This is only phase one of developing our backyard, and we look forward to working with them on the rest of the project.

I requested an estimate for synthetic lawn in my back yard from Home & Garden Construction Group on-line and received a call within 20 minutes. Mike came to home at my convenience and after explaining what I wanted done, he measured and gave me a reasonable estimate, he then took the time to explain to me the history of synthetic lawn and how it has progressed into the product it is today. I hired them and they started the job within a week. They were very professional and completed the job in two days. All of the workers did an excellent job cleaning up when completed. I am extremely pleased with my new synthetic lawn and the excellent job Mike and all the workers at Home & Garden Construction Group. John
