We've had the pleasure of working with gamble + design for nearly seven years now, and we really can’t imagine working with anyone else. Our journey began when we first purchased our home, a charming structure from the 1920s in the Forest Hill neighborhood of San Francisco that had not seen updates in decades. Under the creative and thoughtful direction of Jeni and her team, our house underwent a truly dramatic transformation. Jeni has a unique talent for protecting the integrity of the space, merging the present with the past in a way that feels both fresh and respectful. The firm skillfully navigated the fine line between modernizing our space and preserving its historical essence. The result? A home that looks and feels incredibly unique and personal but also maintains its original charm and character and blends seamlessly with the vibe of the neighborhood. When we embarked on a multi-year, full house remodel project of our 1900 San Francisco home, we knew that we wanted Jenie and her team to design our kitchen and bathrooms. She simply knocked it out of the park. Jenie is an AMAZING designer with impeccable tastes and an effortless ability to create one of a kind design. We could not be happier with the result. It feels both modern and timeless and we don't regret following her lead on some of the design elements that were not our original choices. My advice: follow her lead and you will be amazed by the result.

I reached out to gamble + design because I loved the contemporary, minimalist projects of theirs on Houzz. Jeni instantly agreed to my wish for a contemporary black-and-white decor. After she listened to my needs and wants, what started out as a simple kitchen remodel grew to encompass an inviting open space. The result was a complete refresh of the kitchen, family room, and living room. During the process, I counted on Jeni’s expert color sense and awareness of trends. And with my busy work schedule and lack of expertise in remodeling, I was really glad I could count on the design + gamble team to do the drawings, engage engineering as needed, supply choices for furniture based on my taste, find contractors, and get the building permit. No one comes to my home without commenting on how stunning it is. The list ranges from family and friends amazed at the change from its “before” (traditional) look, to newer guests, electricians, and window washers. Just last week a furniture delivery man not only appreciated the look of the house but wanted to obtain the same tiles and one furniture piece because he so appreciated their quality and beauty.

Jenni and Murray assisted us with a major renovation of an Edwardian fixer upper in San Francisco by providing consultation on our preliminary designs. They paid incredible attention to detail. They were open, positive and mindful of our budget. I can't tell you how much value they added to our project, specifically, our lighting plan. Murray walked us through each space to provide the most optimal solution. Each space use and predicted furniture layout was considered in conjunction with controls and lighting lumen's for best effect and ease of use. We saved several thousand dollars base on their consultation, while they improved our plan with creative solutions to meet our design wishes. Within moments of reviewing our Architectural set in comparison with our kitchen design, Jenni found a major design flaw with our kitchen cabinetry layout which saved us from a potential crisis during construction, which would have set the project (and move-in date) back by weeks, to say nothing of how much money was saved. I believe that Jenni and Murray really brought the design of our space to the next level. They brought to our attention so many aspects of design which we would never have thought of. We definitely plan on working with them on our future projects.

We found Jeni after visiting one of her project's and falling in love with her style. When we embarked on our own renovation we knew we'd need the help of a professional despite handling large parts of the project ourself. Jeni worked with us, two super involved owners who essentially ran the job site, ordered materials and even fabricated some elements. This isn't trivial and we feel lucky we found someone who was willing to adjust to our style of house building. Her designs were always thoughtful and meticulous and having her there to support us during the project was super helpful.

Gamble + Design did a wonderful job with our kitchen. The firm helped us make our vision for the space a reality and we cannot express how much we love our new kitchen.

Jeni is a consummate professional who takes the time to understand her clients' tastes but knowing where to push the boundaries a little great effect. She started working with us on a full-home remodel where we had a tight deadline to redesign our master bathroom, and pick tiles, paint, fixtures for the rest of the house. She presented three divergent ideas, and then worked with us to narrow things down quickly to hit our contractors deadlines. She is great at keeping an eye on the broader vision for the house, but also meticulous on the details. We've ended up continuing to work with her on other projects in our home as well as furniture, art, and other furnishings. I can't say enough about how great she has been for our home - we are constantly getting compliments from guests about work that she has helped us with.

I love my new kitchen! gamble + design took on the challenge of creating a kitchen with all the amenities and fitting it on a ten and a half foot wall. I have a small apartment and they created space and solutions I didn't know were possible. The kitchen is perfect, it doesn't feel cramped or forced in anyway. In addition to that Jeni's aesthetic is AMAZING I liked everying she picked out, she took into consideration my needs and concerns and presented me with exactly what I wanted. I would recommend gamble + design for any project.

We worked with Jeni on a complex project in The Sea Ranch. Jeni was very good to work with. Her plans were very detailed and accurate, she was always available to meet and answer questions, and provided information in a timely manner. We look forward to working with her again.

My wife and I we in the midst of a major house renovation when we started to have difficulties in choosing lighting fixtures. We called Jeni at Gamble + Design and she proved to be a godsend. Her husband Murray is a lighting specialist, so we got alot of input on the technical aspects of LEDs and dimmers and such that we really didn't know anything about. Not only did Gamble + Design quickly help us select interesting, high quality fixtures for more than 30 lights throughout the house, Jeni also guided us through tile selection and then the interior paint selection. At every juncture she was respectful of our aesthetic choices and really good at finding interesting suppliers. We'd been kind of banging our heads against the wall with our original design team, so it was really refreshing to work with Jeni. She's been unfailingly upbeat, professional, and excited to find the best solution for our project.

I was looking for an architect to help me redesign a house I bought that had potential in a great neighborhood. I realized early on that I bit off more than I probably should have and was overwhelmed with where to begin. As luck would have it I met Jeni and based on a shared design aesthetic we decided to move forward and work together. I put my book full of images I had torn from pages and sent it off to Jeni. Jeni spent time researching and designing multiple floor plans and working through concepts being patient with me through all my questions. Once I picked the floor plan I liked best Jeni started working on three unique design aesthetics. She guided me from start to finish through the construction process, working with contractors, presenting me with new solutions as new challenges surfaced during the remodel. In the end, I am incredibly happy the result. I put my life in her hands and she made it completely easy. I am enjoying the house every day, love living in my Mission Flat and cannot imagine being anywhere else.

We are planning several inprovments in the coming year. Our bedroom, our guest room and a room off our kitchen/dining area are all in need of space rethink. This is where Jennie of Gamble + Design is amazing. She saw possibilities that we never even considered. Jennie has a way of looking at spaces as living breathing functioning things. Not only does she consider what you need from a space but what the space can add to our family dynamic, in such a positive way! We thought we had a basic idea of what should happen but seeing the spaces through Jennies eyes has opened up some fantastic possibilities. I look forward to working with her later this year when we plan on starting our remodel.

We have been working with Jeni on a house remodel in Mill Valley and have been very pleased thus far with the value she provides and her design aesthetic. She greatly assisted us with the selection of tiles in the bathroom and kitchen and the overall design for our bathrooms. She also assisted us with the paint color scheme for both the interior and exterior and with lighting fixtures. My contractor remodeled my guest bathroom and my home office. I hired Jeni Gamble as my interior designer and she was brilliant. She has a very contemporary and sophisticated design aesthetic and made some beautiful choices for my new bathroom and office. We didn't always agree on aesthetic preferences but when necessary, she was able to put her opinions aside and follow my lead. My remodel was more complicated than i had anticipated (isn't that always the case! ) and Jeni provided extraordinary organizational skills. She is very budget conscious and I know the project could not have been completed to my satisfaction without her. She guided me through the entire experience with patience and respect. I hired gamble + design to help me choose my house colors. We have a tiny 1924 craftsman and I wanted to stay true to the design but bring it into modern times. Our house was just painted white when we bought it. She showed me pictures of my actual house with many different color combinations. We also looked at homes with similar architecture to mine to see what other people have done. The whole process was so easy! Our house came out amazing!!!

I hired Gamble Interior Design actually through associates that are in San Fransisco CA ,I called Jeni and she came down to Los Angeles to work on my 1927 Tudor revival, I was very interested in finding someone who would stay true to the era while modernizing my home at the same time. ,I was very impressed with her vision of the space and knowledge of the era and am extremely happy with her work! Phase 1 is complete ! Am am excited about starting phase 2 "the Kitchen" (yikes) ,at the end of the month, but I have to say I'm excited to see what inspiration she brings to the table !
