I've had an incredibly positive experience of Detailed Planning. They have combined the personal and professional in a way that suits both the experienced home renovator (my wife), and the uninitiated (me). They clearly have a passion and dedication for what they do, which shines through in their ability to switch from detailed policy advice, to imaginative architectural design support. Chris has been superb; he has been on hand to respond to my simple questions and complex issues, and always in a professional, patient and understanding manner. He's also offered to be on the end of a call throughout the build phase of our infill extension and loft conversion, which is very reassuring. I highly recommend this company.

We have 1st used Detailed Planning Ltd for our loft conversion. Without hesitation, we went back with them for our renovation work. They have also recently helped us submitting our planning permission for the installation of solar panels. We would highly recommend them; they are always on top of things, following up, making us aware of the latest regulations, super responsive. They have also been ingenious in their design proposal all along and helped us maximise our space. They went the extra mile to support us with specific requests from the council regarding our planning permission and we have always felt in save hands.

We are doing a complete refurb of a 3 bedroom, semi detached house where we plan to do a rear extension to create a large kitchen diner, a loft conversion, a porch extension and other internal alterations. Chris and Paul were a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend Detailed Planning! I am happy with the service provided and quality of the work. + Process is explained very well right from the beginning and payments are staged based on phases + Communication is frequent and regular + Always underpromised and over delivered (I think always provided revised drawings easier than promised) + Plans are thought out and of high quality + Incorporated our various ideas and make them work + Multiple revisions to get the plans perfect!

Chris and the team at Detailed Planning did a fantastic job in taking us through the design, planning and technical phases of our major refurbishment project in Highbury. Starting from our initial consultation, it was clear that we were in safe hands, and Detailed Planning lived up to their name in delivering a selection of well-thought through options for the possible layouts we could choose from. After moving forward with one of the options, we flip-flopped several times, and they made several revisions before we sent our drawings off for planning. Our project had the potential to be contentious with a roof terrace and lots of glazing, but the applications sailed through with no objections. Chris worked very efficiently with the numerous other 3rd party contractors involved in the process and has always been on hand to answer our questions when required. Overall, our experience has been really positive, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending Detailed Planning to friends and family.

Paul and the rest of the Detailed Planning team have been superb from the get-go. As a person who's knowledge in this area is relatively limited, they guided us through the steps of our project particularly helping with the design phase of bringing our thoughts to life and then into drawing. They have been available to us with short notice and are happy to jump onto a video meeting to discuss the project at various points of the process. They've provided expert advice with a relaxed manner and have had a real positive impact on what our home will hopefully look like in 12 months time. I would highly recommend them to others looking for similar advice to us.

We came across Detailed Planning through mutual recommendation. I still remember my first conversation with Paul, this is even before our house purchase has been finalised. The way Paul went through the whole logistics on design and planning immediately put my mind at ease. Paul is able to articulate a rather complex process in simple language, he is methodical and systematic in his approach. Our project was managed by Paul’s fabulous business partner Emily. If you are looking for someone who is professional, super organised, detail orientated, tenacious and hardworking, Emily is the person to go for. Our planning applications (kitchen extension, loft extension and outbuilding/parking) have gone through successfully at the first attempt. This is directly related to Paul and Emily’s vast experience and track record in managing similar scale projects and their knowledge in managing relationships with the planning officers. What also we are very pleased with Detailed Planning is their recommendation with other key vendors such as party wall surveyor, structural engineer, building regulations etc. You can tell they are extremely well connected and networked to help you through from start to finish of any project. My husband and I would definitely highly recommend Detailed Planning as a company, really a breath of fresh air in the industry!
