Corbett Design Build is an award-winning home remodeling and Design/Build firm, serving the Triangle since 1980. We are passionate about what we do, and are committed to excellence. We engaged Corbett Design Build January 2020 to see if we should add on to our house or move to a new location. After talking with Mr. Corbett, we decided to move and were committed to his company. Months later, we paid $3000 for a pre-construction agreement (we had not yet received) and did so in good faith. When we had a need, Corbett refused to complete the work, thereby forcing us to find another contractor to complete the work. We are owed our $3000 for breach of pre-construction agreement. This is about a service we paid for and their refusal to perform that service.

When we were in the market to build a 'handicap accessible home' for my husband who suffered a spinal chord injury in an auto accident resulting in incomplete quadriplegia, we talked with Mr. Barry Corbett and explained exactly what we needed and wanted in our new home. He is an 'out-of-the-box' designer and builder and with every design element in his plan, Mr. Corbett was thinking of my husband and what would make his life much more livable, enjoyable and easy. His knowledge and professionalism were beyond our expectations, as was the workmanship and quality with which he executed his project. He stands behind his work, as his ethics, character, and trustworthiness are impeccable and speak for themselves. He stayed within the proposed budget and apart from a few minor delays, we were able to move into our gorgeous new home in a timely manner. Many, many impressed people have expressed 'what a lovely home we have'. We can highly recommend Mr. Barry Corbett as an excellent and above par designer-builder.

If you are planning to renovate or build a home, you will need a professional contractor like Barry Corbett of Corbett Design Build. We chose him to build our home. It was a good choice. Barry Corbett is an experienced and knowledgeable contractor who works well with his clients. He is able to refine his clients' suggestions to get the best results. His knowledge of the myriad housing codes, ordinances, zoning, surveys, inspections, etc. was invaluable. His office staff, and design coordinator were pleasant and very helpful as well. Barry Corbett's commitment to excellence is reflected in every thing he does. Our home is very beautiful, well-built and comfortable. Rudy and Lucille Lea

In 2013, Barry turned our attached garage into a gorgeous kitchen, breakfast room, pantry and laundry room. The unfinished room above the old garage is now a craft room. We also added a sunroom, which ended up earning Barry a remodeler's award. It was a no-brainer to ask him to do a garage for our classic Chevy. It was Barry's idea to do the breezeway between the garage and the house, which I absolutely love, love, love! Barry's design experience has been invaluable in our projects. I like that he is easy to talk to, that he gives honest answers, that he hires good people to do the work. I feel we are very lucky to have Corbett Design Build in our area. I highly recommend him to everyone thinking of remodeling.

HB Buckley

The Corbett's are a father and son business who listen. Working with Barry closely we were able to develop a layout that we loved for our remodel. I was very involved and specified most of the items I wanted. Barry listen and implemented my ideas in a 3 D model that allowed us to virtually walk around our Project David is the project manager and son of Barry's. David is so connected with expert craftsman in the area. My husband and I really appreciate how they worked with us. We loved the end results our home is beautiful and won several design and construction awards in 2011
