Offering the same valued experience, knowledge and sensibility, as well as attention to detail and personalized customer service that has become synonymous with the Clawson name and high-end residential design, they are here to guide you from concept to completion. René and Marvin's interiors work has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects with five design Medals. They have been recognized both locally and nationally, in magazines such as Period Home, The New York Times, Design New Jersey, Montclair Magazine and Short Hills Magazine. They have completed over 600 projects in the metropolitan area and their design solutions have been described as "Smart and Unique". Cabinets currently showcases the Decorá and Kemper cabinetry lines by Masterbrand and are excited to be adding Woodharbor to their collection. All lines are: Manufactured in the USA. We used Clawson Cabinets for our kitchen renovation and other millwork throughout our house (family room tv built ins, bookshelves and reading bench in rec room, half room multi-purpose shelving in living room, primary and kids bathrooms, etc.). The material recommendations, stain recommendations, and texture recommendations, all come together and flow beautifully throughout the home. The cabinets and millwork are such prominent parts of our house and really set the mid-century tone we were hoping to achieve from the moment you step into the house. Rene is so creative and has a wealth of knowledge regarding tying cabinets into the architecture & design of a house (we also used Clawson Architects and Clawson for interior design). We would both recommend and use Clawson cabinets again in the future without thinking twice.

I worked closely with Rene Clawson on a new kitchen and two bathroom designs. I love all three designs. Rene was brilliant at helping pick tile, cabinets, hardware and countertops. She also guided our selection of all fixtures and lighting. I have had people who have visited since construction tell me the kitchen is the prettiest they have ever seen. As a first timer remodeling my home. Clawson was instrumental in walking us through all the painstaking details and helping us make the right choices for what we wanted and envisioned. Clawson was not only honest, but also had the foresight to helping us choose items that made the most sense. For instance, we chose a waterfall island that made the location of outlets a challenge. Clawson came up with an amazing solution, which we love and use consistently. Pop-up outlets, which not only looked great but are so useful. We are very happy with all the cabinets in the whole house. From the kitchen with the appliance garage, to the bathrooms capturing the look and feel we wanted. It was a pleasure working with Clawson.

Montrose Kitchen, South Orange, N.J. We were incredibly lucky to be able to get the complete package with both Clawson Architects and Clawson Cabinets for our major kitchen renovation. Rene worked diligently to help us find the exact right color, style, and layout for our Decora cabinets. Cabinet details that we particularly love are our narrow spice drawer, our open basket shelves to house our root veggies and dog treats, our pantry cabinet, and our the cabinet specially designed to keep our cooking trays in order. The blue color of the cabinets keeps the room light and airy and works seamlessly with the rest of the design of the space. If we had any issues during the installation, Rene was instantly responsive. She was a complete joy to work with and I highly recommend Clawson Cabinets for your next project.

My wife and I hired Rene to help design our kitchen, as part of a larger renovation project. From the start Rene's warmth and thoughtfulness appealed to us. She was able to show us a wide variety of options and present an array of ideas on how to efficiently lay out our kitchen. As an avid home chef and a fairly opinionated person, I had a lot of ideas about what we should do, and Rene did an amazing job to help us bring the best of my ideas to fruition while talking us out of my stupider ideas. Although her work was quick and efficient, we never felt rushed and she always had time to revisit discussions and explore alternative ideas. At the end of the day, we couldn't be happier with the final product -- it's gorgeous, functional, warm, and completely integrates into the rest of our 1890's Victorian home. In addition to her fantastic work on our kitchen, Rene and her husband Marvin also did fantasstic work for us as the architects of our expansion and renovation through Clawson Architects, which I highly recommend as well.

We first worked with Marvin and Rene 20 years ago on a kitchen renovation/expansion. They were great to work with and still are. After 20 years we needed a little refresh. Rene helped me choose and order new cabinet doors as well as update the colors. Rene was responsive and easy to work with!

After initially working with a major chain for our kitchen renovation, we are beyond glad that we pivoted and went with Clawson Cabinets. Rene did an incredible job of understanding our budget and helping us create a beautiful, updated kitchen. She pointed out some major flaws from the original proposed scope from the chain we originally worked with, and helped illustrate how that original scope would more than double our budget. The quality of every item in our new kitchen is amazing. If we're ever again in need of design or architecture help, we know our only call with be to Clawson Cabinets and/or Clawson Architects.

I bought two vanities for my two bath renovation project. The first vanity for a shared bath is lovely to look at yet utilitarian. Good quality craftsmanship. The master bathroom has a fantastic vanity with two sinks and storage that is great looking and has such heft to it that I am very pleased. The sound of the cabinet doors and drawers is very solid: 1.25" thick inset door with matching interior. It is like a fine piece of furniture that is finished and solid. I am very pleased by the quality.
