Eva has helped in so many different ways on our property journey. She originally saw the house before we even bought it and helped us envisage how it could ultimately look. Our journey has taken a long time but along the way Eva has been a great support and her designing and planning knowledge have helped achieve the maximum potential from our property with a great use of space. She organised the initial designs and plans and then she liaised with the planning department of Haringey council to ensure planning permission was granted. She then produced the technical drawings for the building work before helping organise a measured survey, a structural survey, a party wall survey and buildings control. She even had contact with our neighbours to help things go as smoothly as possible. Although I decided to project manage the building work myself, Eva was always available and called upon a few times. Her calming influence definitely helped defuse some stressful situations during this time. Overall I’d thoroughly recommend anyone who is looking for expert advice on designing, planning and seeing their property dreams become a reality, to speak to Eva Vatzeva from Carta Nova.

Eva guided us through our recent loft conversion and refurbishment throughout of a rather tired and unloved 3-bed flat in Crouch End, North London. We leaned on her advice and expertise extensively, both as first time buyers, renovators and as we looked to start a family. The result is a transformation of the property into our first family home. Eva combines the technical understanding of the planning process as an architect, but also has the imagination and style to help you design and furnish the interior. She does all this with warmth; we needed an architect who believed in our project (plenty did not, it must be said) and who could answer any and all of our many questions, fears and hopes with good grace. I have worked with Eva on a number of commercial and residential projects over the past few years, latterly a modern office consolidation and refurbishment exercise where we reduced the office space and provided better quality accommodation for over 50 staff, without the wholesale relocation cost. Eva has always shown great design flair wowing clients with her ideas. Overall costs and competing priorities can lead to alternatives being necessary. Eva is exceptional at working within the client team to find solutions that do not compromise on the overall impact of the finished product whilst making sure the project can complete on time and to budget.

Eva brought our dream to reality, designing a staircase that joined two apartments while allowing maximum light to flow through the space. A year later a visiting surveyor friend walked up the stairs and remarked how solid they feel, with no vibration at all. The steel strings look as good now as they did on day 1 and have not needed any adjustments to their tension. We are very happy with the service provided by Carta Nova and the end result of the project.

I've hired Eva to submit an application to the Council for a rear extension which included to demolish a structural wall replaced with a steel frame and completely demolish and recreate kitchen and bathroom. She proposed a lot of different ideas in terms of re-use the space in the most optimised way and once picked one, she took care of the communications with all the other figures involved during the process such as Thames Water approvals, Building Control, structural engineers etc... I absolutely recommend her. She is very competent and have tons of great idea to propose based on the type of project and budget.

We hired Eva as an designer/architect for our house renovation. She has since delivered very high quality work that includes new designs for the facade. As with any design, we had to go back and forth multiple times but Eva understood what the amendments were and delivered them very quickly. Would certainly use Eva in future projects.

Eva at Carta Nova completed work for a property that our director owns. The work that she completed was incredible and to an extremely high standard. The renovation was completed on a two bedroom flat in Farringdon, she used this space to its full potential. The kitchen/diner looks light and much bigger due to her vision. The bedrooms are now decorated in a modern but warm design which keeps a homely feel. Eva worked at a good pace and met any deadline that was required. She made the transformation of the property stress free by taking care of the builders, materials and any other task. She was always available to answer any queries that we had and explained everything concisely and clearly. We can’t thank Eva enough, I would recommend her to any of my friends or colleagues and hope to give her many referrals in the future.

I retained Carta Nova to work on my apartment in the US. I worked with Eva to come up with a few ideas and she expertly brought everything together--color scheme, interior architecture as well as the few minor structural changes that I wanted to do. I loved the result and it helped substantially when renting out the apartment. Eva listened to my ideas, understood what I wanted and helped to crystallize those notions into ideas... and then made the ideas become reality. It made living in my apartment so much more pleasurable and improved my bottom line when I decided to rent it out. I highly recommend working with Carta Nova.
