We had a great two-hour consultation with Lisa to start our thinking about planning for our new home. It was incredibly valuable and practical. She suggested things we hadn't considered, took into account our own thoughts and preferences, and was also able to explain the pros and cons of various changes clearly and informatively.

Embarking on our journey with Born & Bred studio has been nothing short of extraordinary. It all began with a 2-hour consultation, giving us a useful and exciting insight into the world of interior design. Despite our confidence in possessing a discerning design eye, a lingering scepticism persisted regarding the true value a designer could bring to a regular period terrace house and whether it justified the investment. From the very first meeting, it became abundantly clear that Lisa possessed an impressive blend of knowledge, passion, and the perfect balance of gentleness and firmness, skilfully guiding us beyond our comfort zone. Her keen sensitivity to colour and extensive knowledge of suppliers, retailers, and makers added a layer of expertise that proved invaluable. Choosing Born & Bred Studio to oversee the complete renovation of our downstairs space turned out to be a decision that exceeded even our wildest dreams. Although I initially entertained the thought of managing the project solo, convinced I could navigate it without additional assistance, the level of detail (the Born & Bred Studio paint schedule alone was remarkably impressive), forward-thinking planning, and overall vision showcased by Lisa underscored the genuine value of hiring a professional. Alas, I had to come to terms with the fact that I'm not a designer (;-)). Thank you, Lisa & the team, for your hard work and diligence. Lisa came round for a quickie consultation. She was professional and full of great ideas. She proposed solutions for my design dilemmas and was happy to measure up and move furniture to test out her ideas. She is clearly detail orientated and very knowledgeable about brands, shops, colours and designers.

Lisa was simply incredible. We did a 2-hour Quickie Consultation with her for the flat we've just moved into, and it was the best investment of time and money we've made, bar none. Lisa knocked it out of the park with her deep experience and knowledge, instantly understanding what we were after and then unloading a wealth of information and suggestions on us. We discussed a very broad range of topics across styles, colour palettes, item suggestion, moulding and joinery approaches, room layouts etc. For all of thes, she showed us very stylish and on-theme recommendations that were practical and achievable. There is no question that this was money well spent, and we will likely take more of Lisa's time in the months to come!

Lisa helped us add instant style and comfort to our new home in a matter hours with the Design Consultation service. We were in a state of decision paralysis; she listened to our ideas and put her creative, design mind to work. Suggesting easy to implement ideas which would elevate the space in-line with our style. She quickly helped us prioritise projects in both the short and long term and we are so happy with all her suggestion (as we already implemented quiet a few). We were impressed with how quickly she got a sense of what we were looking for! Offered recommendations for all areas of the home and with a measured approach considering budget and design aspirations. We would highly recommend!

If we could give Lisa / Born & Bred Studio six stars, we would. My young family and I recently moved halfway around the world to a new home in London, practically site unseen. We hired Lisa to design our new home with many, many challenging constraints that most designers would reject: 1) we wanted to be move-in ready within six weeks, 2) we wanted to incorporate a fair amount of our furniture from our existing home in the States (that Lisa wouldn’t have a chance to see, touch or feel before arrival), 3) we wanted a number of different aesthetics (adorable kids & playrooms, but also more serene and modern grown-up spaces), 4) the property had just finished a refurbishment that Lisa hadn’t overseen and so while new, we weren’t interested in doing a lot of additional joinery/remodeling. At every step, Lisa exceeded our expectations for the the project. She was organized and communicative, of course, but more importantly she really invited us into the process when and where we wanted to be included and managed the rest without our having to think about it. The result was a very quick design process that we felt great about and incorporated our feedback and needs, but allowed us to focus on the bigger picture of moving our family around the world and the logistics that requires. The end result is a home that we truly love. Lisa’s ability to embrace a variety of aesthetics, incorporate “high and low” (and in our case, new pieces and used items), and bring her discerning design eye to each and every space — all while on a tight timeline — has been truly a gift for our family. We have worked with the designers in the past and resented the process and haven’t loved the results - working with Lisa was completely different and gave us confidence again. We will definitely work with her in the future and have already referred her to friends.

We had a fantastic experience with Lisa of Born & Bred studio and wholeheartedly recommend her services. After two “quickie consultations” last year, we decided to fully handover our decoration project to Lisa as we frankly did not have the time nor the patience to do it ourselves. We had spent ages testing sofa and finding a dining table and we were not confident in our ability to build a harmonious interior. The hallway/staircase are now beautiful and welcoming spaces. What struck me now that it is all done is that, some of Lisa’s choices for which I had doubts initially, turned out to be the best changes! I am glad I managed to let go and trust the process. What sets Lisa apart is not just her design skills but also her professional approach. She excelled in communication, making sure we were always aware of the ongoing process and understood the pricing structure. This transparency made the whole journey smooth and stress-free. I also can’t thank her enough for her patience, responding to my endless questions, not twitching an eye when changes of scope took place and when I asked for items to be added last minute. Additionally, the tradespeople she works with were just as impressive, providing top-notch work with a professional and friendly approach. The install day was done all at once in a day. Lisa and the traders worked tirelessly to surprise us at the end of the day with a beautiful home to enjoy at half term. It was like magic, Lisa is the Mary Poppins of interior design! Lisa was brilliant! We had a “quickie consultation” which was 2 hours. She went through each room of our apartment and had lots of suggestions on how we could put the finishing touches to our spaces. This ranged from furniture layout to colours and specific items. She really listened to our requirements, and she was also pragmatic. She had lots of ideas about how we could achieve a flowing space and it wasn’t all high-end very expensive things (this was important to us because we have a toddler and need to be practical). This was the first time we had consulted an interior designer and Lisa was excellent. I can’t thank her enough!
