Allison is a wonderful designer and I’m so glad we made the decision to work with her. We hired her for a large scale project, to completely redesign the first floor of our 1950s Colonial (entry, kitchen, dining room, living room and library/family and refurnish and design our basement TV room. We have traditional tastes but we wanted to update our house. Allison was perfect for us because she really listened. She had great ideas and vision and worked with us to make decisions. She helped us figure out what we could keep and what needed to be replaced. She even arranged to have our entry console painted to a new finish because it was really perfect for the space but it needed a new look. Allison is creative and she is also patient and responsive. Our house has had a complete transformation and it really fits the way we live. We love our house now and we are thankful that we completed this project right before the pandemic because we’ve been able to enjoy it all year.

It truly has been a pleasure working with Allison. Deciding on a style and color scheme has always been challenging for me which is why it’s taken several years to start my bathroom renovation project. During the initial consult, Allison reviewed my 3 bathrooms as well as the remaining rooms and listened to my ideas while getting an overall sense of existing style and flow of my home. She guided me through the design process and worked seamlessly with my contractor. She accompanied me on vendor visits to select all materials for the project. I recall we were at the stone yard selecting countertops on what was probably the coldest day of the year. Most of their inventory was outside and Allison patiently looked through all of it before making a final recommendation. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and plan to use her services again in the future. I highly recommend Allison for any of your interior design projects!

As the saying goes “Home is where the heart is.” and it has been exactly where my heart has been since we moved in last October. I have to admit this has been a long overdue review on the person responsible for transforming our new home into our wonderful oasis – the very own Allison Ducharme. I never thought I’d wake up every day and just feel so in love with our house. I can say, without prejudice, that my husband feels the same way as I do and all because of Allison. Allison has the magical touch of transforming concept into your own style and space. Her keen eye creates a perfect balance of harmony and warmth, which in my view provides a sense of peacefulness in our living space. My ultimate goal and Allison achieved it for both my husband and I. I must say working with Allison has been a Godsend. Not only is she good at what she does BUT she listens and works with her clients. She is very transparent, professional and works with your budget. You are not left behind… Allison always makes sure you are alongside with her in making your dreams a reality. Did I say I just love our house? I undertook a massive renovation of my home - every single room was overhauled from floor to ceiling as well as a 600 sq ft addition. I don’t know what I would have done without Allison. She helped me with just about every aspect of the renovation –kitchen design, cabinets, hardware, quartz counters, hardwood floor color, furniture layout and furniture, closets, doorknobs, fireplace stone, wall hangings, and blinds. Allison was ALWAYS available to answer my questions and help me with any issues or questions. Her ideas and her knowledge of design made the whole project come together nicely Allison went out of her way to accomodate my needs. She was respectful of my wants and wishes and was very easy to work with. I absolutely LOVE my “new” home thanks to Allison. I could never have done it without her!

We hired Allison to redecorate two rooms in our home; the living room and the family room. From the initial meeting to the last delivery of decor, Allison was professional and thorough. She was easy to work with and was always patient with me, as I tend to take a long time to make decisions. She was always budget conscious, and most of the large ticket items she recommended were from local retailers where I could go see the product in person. If she recommended an item from one of her sources, she always made a point to find out as much as she could so that we knew exactly what we were getting. The finished product is beautiful, and we now have two rooms that the whole family loves to hangout in. They are comfortable, functional, and pulled together. I look forward to working with Allison again an any future design projects I decide to do!

Allison provide an up front proposal following our initial consult. She took photos of all my rooms and measured everything precisely. My job was different than most. My husband had passed away a few months before and in many ways i vacillated between wanting to go forward with interior design and desiring some fresh changes. I didn't want to invest in a lot money in buying furniture. I am 70 yrs old. So I was very clear in my communications with Allison about preserving existing furniture but to add a few items to perk up my apartment. . Most of the work was completed within 30 days with a couple of minor delays as curtain materials needed special ordering. I showed-off my redesigned apartment in a small gathering for the Widows Club over the Holidays. I received many compliments: "Stunning, beautiful, sophisticated" were all given.. Allison is a hard worker and very professional. I highly recommend her work--no matter how small or large your living space. She produces dramatic results.

We live on a working farm in a redone 1777 Colonial home. Allison designed the perfect sitting and dining area for us, working with a number of constraints - including existing decor in the kitchen and living/TV room, a need to display toy soldiers and using the horse pictures we love. We wanted an updated look, but not so updated that it looked out of place in our Colonial home. Her design is amazing, from the overall look to how every detail helps tie the whole downstairs together. Before Allison, I wondered how the area could ever look good and now it makes me sooo happy.

We hired Allison based on review of her portfolio online, and she didn't disappoint! Our living room and dining room were in dire need of design (https://allisonducharmeinteriordesign.com/blog/). We told Allison she had free reign to design the space. She was so awesome to work with - incredible eye for design, professional, communicative, organized, decisive, and a great listener. We wanted a space that was nice enough to entertain while being comfortable for every day family use, with consideration that we have 2 young children and 2 cats. My husband and I recently bought a new home that needed major renovations and a fresh new look. I had never used a designer before; but due to our home's unusual architecture and characteristics, I decided to look for someone to help with my vision. I hired Allison Ducharme because she was located in my hometown and it only made sense to give her a try. Let me say, "I could not have hired a better designer!" At our initial consultation, I explained that we would be gutting and restoring our main living space (kitchen, living room, master bedroom, bathroom). She attentively listened as I explained my vision for a comfortable, timeless look. From that point on, she helped to make that vision a reality (cabinets, hardware, furniture, flooring, accessories, etc., etc.) Allison is efficient, responsive, resourceful and friendly! I would highly recommend Allison Ducharme for interior design. She turned three rooms (our family room, playroom and dining room) in my house into living spaces that I absolutely love! I had not decorated in years because I had young children but Allison helped us pick furniture, curtains, accessories that could withstand the energy level of two boys. I am now proud to have people over to my house. She is prompt, thorough, detail oriented and always responsive to my questions and concerns. She is very professional and also accommodated our schedule, meeting on weeknights and Saturdays when necessary. Downsizing is not an easy task and Allison took away the anxiety I was experiencing, and she probably saved my marriage! lol! You ladies know what I mean. For our meeting, Allison was prompt and cheerful, even though she was probably feeling a little jet lagged from her recent return from CA. She immediately noticed my furniture arrangement, and made several suggestions, and it made a world of difference. We walked from room to room, discussing color choices, décor, carpets and we also reviewed "what to keep and what not to keep". This was especially helpful, as we get attached to things that simply don't work. Allison was not judgemental, and respected my input, even though I am clearly an amateur. Her follow up was spotless, very prompt, and I feel as though she really cares how my new home looks. Working with Allison has been a sheer pleasure. Allison came over and consulted with me soon after I moved into a new home. I was overwhelmed by the cosmetic possibilities and didn't know where to start, especially on a tight budget. Allison gave excellent advice and clearly listened to what we wanted/didn't want. I am making an il-law apartment in my basement. Allison came to my house. And first met with me to discuss my wants and needs. She measured the space and provided me with a blue print I can share with the contractors I hire. She modeled my kitchen and told me the cabinets she used and where to order them. A few months ago I was introduced to Allison when looking for some new high end furniture. As I am by no means an expert as to fashion and/or style, while walking around the showroom I met Allison. We spoke for a few minutes as she wanted to know what the look and "feel" that I was going for. From the brief conversation she set out into the showroom to pick out a new bed set, Living Room, Bar stools, carpet, artwork and organized the delivery as well as come to my house to make sure everything was in it's place. She then, helped me select and order a few more pieces of furniture, a beautiful lamp as well as accessories and, you guessed it... She came back to my house to make sure everything fit just right and gave me the look and feel I was looking for. All I can say is "wow". For over 20 years we have built custom homes for our clients and always had included the use of our designers. I for whatever reason did not up until now and, I cannot believe what an absolutely great job she did. I now have a home were I feel so comfortable in and , is a kind of sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of owning a company. I am so glad that I met Allison. For anyone wanting to make their home something truly special regardless of how big or small the budget.. I cannot recommend Allison more. She is not just a consummate professional in her field..she is a great person as well. Thank you so much!

Allison was amazing. She has great taste and is so easy to work with. My home now looks so nice with all the finishing touches she put in it. She puts colors together so well. She also helped with my daughters new house in NJ. I showed her pictures of the of the house and she picked out colors for all the rooms, window treatments designed floor plans for the furniture and even picked out furniture. We did this all remotely. She made it easy to do and is so accommodating with our busy schedules. I would highly recommend Allison and will definitely use her again. She made everything look so beautiful but lived in. I love my house and I have Allison to thank for that.
