I like how flexible this is but it's too many pieces for us.
My taste ranges from modern to contemporary to industrial to rustic. If we could marry some of those elements without making mud, I think the overall effect would be eclectic and interesting. The last thing I want to end up with is a "theme". I really like texture, but prefer to not have a busy effect. Just keeping it minimal and clean with pops of something here and there will be good! Less is definitely more for us.
What's not to love about a window wall? I think it is probably a bit grand for our home and budget but it just creates such a seamless transition between indoor/outdoor spaces. I also wanted to find an example of a sofa I liked that wasn't some version of beige. I really do like color, especially what I call hot colors like red and orange. I think orange or maybe a muted orange (canyon color) might be pretty in a desert home. We have red in OH and I'm ready for a change. BTW, I am 5'5" and Brad is 6'5" so finding something that is comfortable for both is a challenge. I like to have my feet up or curled under me when I'm reading or watching tv. Prefer not to have the "sink in" type of cushions.
Sigh. If only $$$ were no object! :)
Sigh. If only.....
Like the wine theme of this conversation space. Not the furnishings though.
Frankly there isn't much I like about this photo (not into traditional or transitional really) other than that it conveys an idea we had to use the dining space in the great room as a "conversation space". We don't entertain or dine formally, and this would give us a small space to use for wine and cheese or morning coffee chats. Maybe hang a funky/industrial chandelier over the table and make it a fun space. I like that a console table is used to give a separation between the two areas.
Not usually a big fan of gray, but this seems almost more taupey. Sophisticated, clean and minimalist.
If I were to go with darker finishes, the bedroom is the place I'd like to do it. Not to create a cave effect, but to create a cocoon like retreat. Just snug and restful. Light control will be especially important in the master due to my circadian rhythm issues. Needs to be dark and cold at night. Might be fun to make the hallway to the master have some kind of ombre effect to transition from light to dark.
Outlets inside cabinets
More views of cabinet solution.
Will accommodate back bar sizes
Fabulous idea to store plenty of lady items in a space saving configuration.
Like the rug and the ceiling fan. Again, the "his and hers" effect.
Clean roller shades. Concerned with controlling heat and light in living room and master bedroom.
Contemporary fireplace. Like the tile extended to the ceiling. Looks clean and draws the eye upward.
Roller shades
Cute light fixture for small round foyer. Love orange. Also like the sunburst effect wood floor design. Little pops of fun color.
Sunburst wood floor design.
Visually energizing and restful at the same time. Does that even make sense? Just looks homey.
Again, just visually appealing. Clean and neutral but not boring. Less is more
