note the beveled edges on the granite. I like this better than the straight edges. It will cost more, but looks to counter sharp edges. This green is called Esmeralde and is only mined in several middle Eastern countries. The veins that run through the granite very greatly from white to pink to tan to gold and that affects how dark or light the green will actually look. This would be something that we'd need to find from an actual retailer, slab by slab. Considering the size of the kitchen counter tops, it would be difficult to show consistency. Perhaps for the guest bathroom????
End cap storage space for bathroom cabinets.
Under stair storage space - if we don't make a reading nook.
Love this look for the interior of the sitting room. 3/4 book cases with the windows above - again to take lighting further into the house. Note the arched window - underneath are crank casement windows, which are supposed to be better for sealing. The arched portion wouldn't open, but that would be okay. In between windows - bookcases go to ceiling -- love that. Lots of lovely book space with great amounts of light.
option for sitting room windows, on wall that will marry to the garage. I'd want a window seat below the windows. I doubt if the center arched window opens, but the two side windows appear to. Also, instead of a straight on bookcase, I'd rather have a corner unit - perhaps use the corner curio cabinet in this place then it would be protected from so much brush traffic. Might consider this same concept in the master bedroom - might use against the glass French doors instead and implement a second corner curio cabinet that would allow for my wedding display.
note how the bookcases are built around the window units, with window seats at each.
unique angle to room. Also, note the small windows above the book cases - like between the hallway and sitting room.
open concept between family room and kitchen.
built in half cases might be an idea for under windows in sitting room and family room.
note highlight lights above bookcases.
Note glass door connections - also, wooden beams for focal points.
Enclosed patio
Wow! this is a master closet
sitting room connection to kitchen
Combo mud room and laundry
correct angle for my kitchen.
upper lighted display cabinets - dual access pantry.
glass shower stall - note two shower heads - Rainforest for standing - spray, which is position adjustable at the right height for seating.
reading nook under stairs
I like the idea of the cut-out for the microwave/convection oven. If it needs to be replaced, it can happen by simply pulling the old unit out and then replacing.
Butler pantry option
Mud room - laundry room example
barn door entrance into bedroom
barn door application between bed and bath
Interesting - thin windows above our master bathroom vanity. Natural lighting - fixed windows as we'd never open them, but what it they were casement windows that had the roller attachment - windows would need to be set deep enough that screens were still possible so windows could be open a couple of inches.
Note high upper pane windows for best natural lighting - doesn't interrupt cabinet space.
Again, stacked window concept, wrong shape on upper windows, but set apart is a great idea with fixed glass so better installation.
Stacked window idea - dormer windows
Open glass doorway concept - subtle natural lighting.
