Kitchen
Consider something like this for the kitchen -- a little bit of interest in the way the 7 lights go up and down
Worried that this doesn't hold its weight enough in our space -- so we should probably consider a more boxed linear pendant
Interesting way to store appliances
Island as a wood plank base
Light would be cool. If we do wood, this is how I'd want it to look - tuxedo look
Tiny set of open shelving in corner, if needed
Stainless steel back .. is it easier to maintain?
Pop of blue is fun and the wooden shelf on one side
Interesting color combo
I wouldn't mind something like this - dark bottoms, modern cabinets, light tops. I also like the windows above the cabinets for more light but I suspect we don't have the ceiling height for that
Lights might be a little big but style is nice. Wood island look is nice
Like the wood and black accents. Do not like the lights above the sink.
If we do a wood kitchen, I think doing a really nice pure white waterfall island would help with my concerns around being too dark. The island is lovely here.
possibly useful for the odd corner near the angled wall
white/gray combo, lights over island Brian likes. Marble is too veiny for Belinda's taste.
Backsplash
backsplash, lights over island
Part of me likes the stainless steel on the side + the marbley island (and pop of color painted on the back of the island). Maybe a little too modern/contemp though?
Hmm, stainless steel island top?
I could be convinced to do this as well. Or maybe just a marble island top. Like the light backsplash
If not a wood base for the island, the shiplap backing is really neat as well
{like}Darker wood island + white everything else. {bleh}Do not the round bit on the island. Interesting way though to add the height and use the space though.
* Like the wood planks on the island * Not sure about open glass cabinet * Like pendant light layout (but not the exact lights here -- the extra bit is weird)
Interesting that the stove is over window? Fun tile pattern
Fun, light and airy
If we want to pick a color rather than go gray, this is fun. I think though that I would prefer a more generic gray/white and use accents to add color...
Like this look and feel with the gray island and the multi colored backsplash tile.
Butcher block tops add wood touch to kitchen -- not 100% sure how I feel about butcher block top
Light tops, dark bottoms. Add pops of color with the chairs.
Like the back splash and grey cabinets
I really adore the blue island
I know Bri is interested in "wood" look -- if we want to go wood, this is the type of wood I'd want. Not sure it's what he wants. :)
That backsplash is neat
This is kinda fun -- a mix of brightness with some pops of color.
Broad picture great -- layout nice and may be similar to what we'd want in our space.
* Backsplash is nice * Flooring is lovely * Beam exposed is interesting (not sure we have the height for it) Island is nice
Storage unit above the stove is neat
Another fun way to store and keep appliances hidden and organized Not sure about the glass on top (also our house likely doesn't have the ceiling height for it)
I like the look of the dark when it's just the window type cabinets. Adds a little darkness w/o adding too much
Not sure how I feel about *all* dark counter tops. Like it for just an island or just a back area though. All of it feels a bit too much
A whole lot of lights -- especially if we can't do can lights and we need a way to bring in more light at night in a fun way
Those stools are nice. Do not like the lights (might be ok if it was clear glass not the weird black/gray glass)
