the light over the island!
THIS is our interior inspiration.
SY: I don't think we want to put glass in this house. Green ceramic options here: https://www.pinterest.com/susanyeleyint/1255/ and https://www.fireclaytile.com/subway-tile/colors/?group=greens&size=tile-field-2-x-4
TY: I like this fun yellow door, natural treads and white house - would it work? SY: YES. Love. THIS is our exterior inspiration.
TY: I would like to use terra cota tile on the laundry floor, like a potting shed - this is fun and colorful, but I would rather use just the terra cotta without the colored corner tiles SY: I'm down with that.
TY: these next few pics are me trying out the combo of wood floors, b'block cab tops, white cabs and possible back splash and island colors - I like these combos in this pic SY: yes, lovely. But I must say I would love to get you some colorful cabinets. White is so common. You are colorful. :)
TY: This looks very much like what I envision the plans for my kitchen will look like, yes?? SY: YES!
SY: Very pretty.
TY: This seems to kind'of jive with the kitchen pics in SY's newer posts, with the lighter green tile back splash. ..just a closer look at that tile. I like it, in the kitchen? SY: Yes. Love this. Just don't want all your color to be in tile - backsplash and woodstove.
SY: Wait! This is stainless. :)
SY: Your thoughts here and on these other recent photos? TY: just a smaller, more modern version of a masonry heater - I was looking through these images to see if one could duplicate these 'heaters' but on a smaller/more modern scale that would be useful for 1255
I like the rail along the kitchen shelf to hold pots etc.
