According to the designers, this artfully distressed antique chest was the inspiration for this dreamy bathroom. It provides just the right touch of warmth to the pristine surroundings as well as excellent storage for towels and toiletries. The sparkly chandelier ($80 at The Home Depot) is a nice touch.
Thus, the powder room, visible through the front door’s sidelight in the previous photo, is set to glow as soon as the sun sets, thanks to a seasonal timer, LED lighting and Plexiglas. The lights are mounted to 2-by-4 studs and a sheet of sandblasted Plexiglas. Moger wrapped the powder room with horizontal bands of reclaimed barn wood, just like the entryway’s exterior. wood cabin style house
