‘I designed this custom fence and gate. Glass orbs are inserted at the ends of the dowels. They glisten in the sunlight and add colorful interest to the enclosure. The Cecil Brunner roses are spectacular when in bloom.’ What material was used to make this gate? PRO Jackie and the Beanstalk I used redwood 2x2's, 1x1's, small dowels, glass cabinet pulls for the decoration and hardware cloth at the bottom to keep out unwanted critters.
'This walkway leads to the enclosed vegetable garden to the right and several beds of herbs interplanted in the landscape. There is a large fig tree next to a weeping mulberry.' Pretty. They've made the garden both pretty and productive. And they've done a great job with the fencing and other supports.

The first time I tasted a tree-ripened Golden Amber apricot, I knew it was the best fruit I'd ever had.
'Blackberries ripening on the vine just about Memorial Day every year. The fruits are as large as the first knuckle of my thumb. They are so juicy and delicious.' Ours are planted in poor soil and quite a bit of shade, but we still get good berries from them.
'These 'Golden Dorsett' apples are planted near the 'Anna' apples int his garden. They cross polinate and produce better yields. Both are early ripening varieties with low chill requirements. Perfect for out Southern California climate.'

The rich fragrance released when walking by remains in the air for quite some time.' I've been so pleased with our rosemary plants. She's right about the fragrance. It's strong, and I like it--makes me think of pine trees. Our bees love the flowers.

'Komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) It is similar to spinach, in that it contains many important nutrients and vitamins, but it does not have the same bitterness as spinach. Komatsuna is commonly eaten raw in salads or stir fried. It is quite heat resistant so I planted it a a summer green.'

PRO Landscape East & West The wire is just a standard grid wire. Sometimes it is referred to a hog fencing. It comes in different gauge so you can select what you feel is best for your use. It has a cedar frame to keep it in place. Please let me know if you need more detail.
The perfect thing to grow grapes on, and it makes use of space that might otherwise go to waste, as far as edibles go.
