http://vintagewoodfloors.com/wine-soaked-barrels/ Like our Coopersmark Barrels flooring, this flooring is also made from reclaimed Napa Valley wine barrels. The difference? This material is crafted from the inside of the barrel, thereby showcasing the rich red and purple tones produced by the wine as it matures. For those looking to create an alluring tone, our Wine-Soaked Barrels flooring can add a luxurious hue to any room or project.
Island ?
This is the one for countertops and island
I know we've talked about a very clean look ... but I do like the slight contrast that they've done here that adds a bit of interest to the cabinets without being too much
nanmcreewilliams In our kitchen renovation--2016--I totally redid the pantry. A couple of things that have remained very useful: 1) Open shelves BUT not fixed; i.e, the ability to change the height of shelves for different items vastly improves functionality. 2) A tall closed cabinet for mops and cleaning supplies 3) Sliding door entry--a must have for function. 4) One upper corner cabinet with door and lazy susan. Fabulous for much of the food storage that should be protected from light and dust. 5) Back of the pantry includes upper shelves for storage and display, and a wide set of graduated drawers, protected with pacific cloth. I use these to store silver flatware and serving dishes. VERY useful. 6) Coffee station is on top of the drawer set, leveraging deeper counter. We have extra light and extra electrical outlets there. 7) Surprise that I love: On the side of the deep set of drawers, there was originally "wasted" open space. We added a few vertical dividers; this is where I keep very tall trays. 8) Shelves on the side start at about 32" above the floor. The two dog crates are opposite one another. Our dogs love their nice safe "dens" and with the door closed, it ...

Photo from Wilsonart New Technology Allows for Thinner Engineered Surfaces Wilsonart introduced ultrathin countertops in a range of designs: stone and quartz looks as well as wood-look and steel patterns. The European-inspired ultrathin surfaces are one-half-inch thick and can be installed with an undermount sink. The material is a new composite made of resins and paper. Cosentino also introduced a thin surface with a 4-millimeter-thick version of its Dekton product, an engineered material made of glass, quartz and porcelain known for outdoor uses due to its durability and resistance to fading. Thanks to its new thinner profile, the product can be used on cabinetry doors and drawers, backsplashes and wall cladding in kitchens and baths, as well as on furniture, and Cosentino is hoping designers will start incorporating the product more indoors. Dekton Slim is available in nine colors.
Countertop Makers Show Off Backlit Surfaces Several of the manufacturers at the show featured backlit engineered surfaces. Cambria’s recently launched Myddleton (shown here) and Baybridge engineered quartz designs highlight lighter taupes and beiges that create a translucent effect when backlit. “Consumers are now interested in backlighting kitchen islands, wet bars and even bathroom or closet vanities,” says Eloise Goldman, vice president of public relations at Cambria. Photo from Cambria Here’s a look at Cambria’s Skara Brae pattern with backlighting, as shown in the company’s KBIS booth.
