A sliding barn-style door means the space isn’t impeded the way it would be by a regular door that would swing into it. A large mirror on the inside (and outside) helps visually double the room.
“The relationship between the window and the wainscoting was very important, and luckily the height of the window worked perfectly with the wainscot,”
Lean a primitive wooden ladder against your wall to store your French linens. This kind of country charm adds interest to a blank white space. Keep the paint-splattered vibes by simply adding it to your space as soon as you get home — no cleanup needed

Choose porcelain wall and floor tile. Porcelain can last a lifetime, so chances are you won’t have to replace it as you get older. It’s also perhaps the easiest surface to clean. Water and a rag normally do the trick. If you’re concerned about grout, look for porcelain tile with a rectified edge. Finely cut edges allow for thin grout joints (as little as 1/16 inch in some styles). You can purchase a presealed grout as well.
Toilet areas and linen storage are located just off the bathroom. A walk-in closet and dressing area sits nearby and includes full laundry room facilities. The vanity area provides space for morning activities while allowing owners to enjoy the ever-changing landscape and lighting of the Sonoran Desert.

The Precious Stones series from Fiandre uses images that are inkjet printed onto a slab of engineered clay and then fired. The final result is a large glazed porcelain tile that looks like a slab of polished stone, such as the malachite version shown here.
The swing of a traditional door can eat up a lot of floor space; go with a pocket door or sliding barn door instead and save that precious square footage for other things.
Compact shower stall. A mini shower stall with a partial wall is another good option, somewhere between a traditional shower and a wet bath. The openness makes the room feel larger, but the partial wall offers some sense of division. 4. Flat mirror plus narrow sink. A regular mirror instead of a medicine cabinet has two benefits: its slim profile visually expands the space, and it allows for a narrower sink profile than a fat medicine cabinet sticking out above.
European-style wet bath. A wet bath is exactly what it sounds like: a bathroom where everything can (and does) get wet. This style of bath is quite common in Europe, where you will often see a tiny bathroom with the showerhead directly over the toilet, a small sink on the side and a drain in the middle of the floor. By forgoing a shower surround, you can really maximize square footage in a small space.
