Vilhena Design -- General Interior Ideas
We love pocket doors, so this is a really cool option for a sliding sort of pocket-door where it's flush with the wall but will open with a push -- MonoFlat Unison door kit from Sugatsune. The aesthetic of this one is not good, but the idea of the functionality of the door is great. (https://www.finehomebuilding.com/2020/04/07/sliding-secret-door)
Love beams and height of ceiling, love fireplace that expends to the ceiling and it being open to the living and dining space. Love big open doors to large deck. Love the splashes of color throughout with the pillows and rug and accent chairs. The space is large but feels cozy and homey, like you could actually live there. Would need places to store things though.
We liked the use of shiplap to make an otherwise boring staircase look more interesting. We particularly like small details that make a space feel unique. The Stair railings are slightly more modern than what we normally like but here paired with the ship-lap is still feels homey, and being so open, makes this small staircase feel a bit larger. Like the wood incorporated, but don't like the darkness of it.
Nice aesthetic and could be a nice option for the front door, mudroom, staircase when you first walk in. In particular we like the weaving in of the wood from the floors to the beams on the wall which make the space look more interesting. Love the splash of color with the bold carpet, We don't love how dark the wood is stained though.
Love the idea of having a window that opens the kitchen up to the deck off the 2nd floor. Like the use of ship-lap to make the white wall more interesting. Like that the light colors make the kitchen look clean. Farmhouse sink is a must. Like herringbone tile in the fireplace (we love herringbone patterns). Also want wide-plank wood floors.
We like this aesthetic and the built-ins are cool. Like the chandelier and that the space feels peaceful. Like the light color palette and the natural wood and other natural elements (e.g., moss) mixed in. We particularly like small details that make a space feel unique like with the built ins (and they add extra storage which is great). Herringbone tile in the fireplace is subtle and beautiful.
Like that the fireplace doesn't look dated/rustic or too modern but yet it's still inviting/cozy/warm feeling
