I really love this dark wood-white walls combination. It has a very germanic feel. But this isn't what we have, and I wonder if trying to stain the wood to re-create this feel would be trying to make the place something it isn't. Maybe we should just try to work with the wood as is, or do some refinishing.
Orang-y wood with terracotta tilework. Trying to find inspiration on how to work with the orange/golden wood. This is a cool setup.
Yes let's use l lots of plants!
So, here is an example of painted wood ceiling. I can't help but feel that the wood paneling painted white gives a distinct beach house glam/cottage feel. Which I don't want. Not that it's not nice mind, but this isn't a Hamptons beach house, so it shouldn't feel like one. Interesting use of the blue tile. I'm trying to figure out how I feel about the golden wood/blue combination. Sometimes I think it works, but other times I think it clashes terribly. I really dislike the color blue of the chairs, and dislike the couch.
Use of plants and tribal print accents, unique quality pieces. Not sure about the driftwood hanging from the ceiling though...
Living room warm, eclectic, and lived-in feel. I think I would prefer a SLIGHTLY less cluttered space, but I do like the feeling evoked by this space.
Don't really like this decor, but let's definitely put a buffet along the wall next to the dining room table.
