Tracy's Ideas
This photograph, as framed, will stay over the fireplace post-remodel. It's from New Orleans photographer Frank Relle, and we have a deep connection with New Orleans. As it stands, we like the way the mantel and the crypts speak to each other. But we could highlight the light and color from the picture in the fireplace surround.
Fireplace: Another idea.
Fireplace: So there's something to look at.
Fireplace: Another tile idea. More for the geometric idea.
Fireplace: Possible tile idea. But it could have more color.
Fireplace: I realize this is a backsplash, but there's a geometric design here that's cool with the different shades of grey and white.
Fireplace: I like these doors as well.
Fireplace: This is kind of a cool design with the texture of the stone.
Fireplace: Again, not the color. But the interesting shape of the tile.
Fireplace: This is also okay. But I love these fireplace doors if the frame was black
Fireplace: So I don't like this particular tile. But I like this idea. A pop of color with a geometric design.
Fireplace: I like the color and the large scale of the tiles. But still not quite what I'm thinking of.
Fireplace: something with more pop than this.
Kitchen: This is probably not what we will end up with, but I like the "industrial" feel of this sink.
Baths: Interesting tile with a wood grain pattern. No real clue where we would put it.
Bath: Jeffrey saw this tile and kinda liked it. I think the pattern is too busy. But I suppose it's not all about me.
Kitchen: Another shaker cabinet door. I like the color, but it might be too red. And we would want the side pieces to be thinner.
Kitchen: Cabinet door style that we liked at the time, but now we think we'd like the "edge pieces" to be thinner.
Kitchen: Another library ladder. But we like how it looks with both sets of upper cabinets and how it's available all the way around.
Master bath: I like this "style" for the shower, but maybe with lighter colors.
Master bath: I think this is another view of the same shower with the nice wall tile
Master bath: I like this wall tile, but not so much the tile on the inset (although we would like an inset)
No. This is too busy. Both the little mosaic tiles and the slab are too busy
Master bath: I kinda like these colors if we're going to paint the vanity
Master bath: This is one idea for how the tile between the shower and the floor could come together because I do like the curbless look and I think we have the room to do that.
Kitchen: I like this general look. but it's a bit dark with the black ceiling. And I'm not a fan of all the open shelves (which I know makes part of the look)
Nowhere: No. no. no. no. WTF is this wall panel? Although I suppose lime scale wouldn't show up on it.
Master bath: Maybe a tile like this for the master bath shower walls?
Kitchen (sort of): The detail on these upper cabinets is really cool, but I would only want this in a small area (like maybe over a dry bar?).
Master closet: This is the idea of the mix of hanging, shelving, and drawers that I would like. Nothing fancy--just more usable than what's there.
Master closet: Cool way to make the corners usable!!
Master closet: This would be a nicer color than the stark white in the other pictures. But we would need more hanging space.
Master closet: Again, just a mix of hanging, shelving, and drawers. Nothing fancy. Definitely painted rather than stain-grade wood.
Master closet: Again, a mix of hanging, shelving, and drawers. I like the idea of the shoe shelves, but I keep mine in labelled shoe boxes, so the size might be different.
Kitchen: We like this countertop because the grain/colors are there but not in your face.
Kitchen: This is a really cool use of the space under the sink. But this is probably a pipe dream on price. (Yes, the pun was intended.)
Kitchen: Another library ladder!!! Yeah, we really want a library ladder to be able to reach the high upper cabinets.
Kitchen: I want this kitchen. Of course, we don't have this much space. But the colors and style are what we are going for.
Kitchen: More of the kitchen we both like. (Except the light fixture. We'd rather have something more "industrial")
Kitchen: Jeffrey loves this vent hood. And we'd put the money here rather than in the cool sink base that's also in this kitchen.
Kitchen: We both really like this kitchen. It's a good mix of industrial (see the vent hood) and darker cabinets with a lighter counter. another view of the cabinets with the color I like (but Jeffrey not so much)
Kitchen: We also both like this cabinet style and color.
Baths: One idea for vanity lights
Baths: One idea for vanity lights
Baths: More ideas for vanity lights
Powder room - I like this wallcovering better than the one with the triangles.
