Living Room
Beyond a 17-foot-high concrete wall is the great room, with living and dining areas, and the kitchen. The roof slopes down to 12 feet, framing the views. The stained Douglas fir tongue-and-groove ceiling has openings for lighting and speakers. The wood ceilings are also pulled back slightly from the walls to create a feeling of expansiveness. The gas fireplace sits between two blackened steel beams under a window on the far left of the photo.
