My Project
This is actually not quartz or marble. The material on the backsplash and counters is a Stonepeak product called Planes in Calacutta (like the marble). This is an Italian made color body porcelain tile. The beauty of the product is that it has zero maintenance, minimal grout lines where seams are necessary, and you can choose your patterns, and how they match and work in the space (hence the fabulous wide vein behind the range and on the right side cabinets).
Note backsplash is marble-like. Like color of island countertop/matches floor and adds color. Like pulls. Prefer handles to knobs on big doors.
***** One of my favorite kitchens on Houzz, I keep coming back to this picture. "This is beautiful: custom, clean look!" I like the arched doorway, the cabinets, and the silver, smaller but lifted hood with a couple cabinets above it. Think about raised panel vs. shaker. Not sure about gray countertop and grayish wood floor with our family room colors.
