great room
like so much about this great room. Mid tone floors and lighter wood ceilings with dark framed windows and light fabric furniture in a carpeted area for contrast AND live edged table. Also like ceiling contrast with some areas having wood and others white. This adds more significance/punch where the wood is and keeps space light.
consider weathered flooring for less concern re maintenance and marks in mid depth tone with ceiling wood lighter toned to keep area from feeling too dark
we want to be careful to ZONE the space and not having everything run together in the great room. WE will possibly have an upright piano in the room as well
no dining table here for us and fabric on furniture not attractive, but like open arrangement and light fixture in living room that highlights the sitting area as a separate space and adds vericality to the space (Do not like the kitchen lighting though so much) also like washed brown-grey cabinets that add earthiness to the space
