Small bathroom
We don't know if there is an official name for this type of sink sitting on the counter, but we call it impractical. This illustrates a DO NOT WANT...with the sink sitting on top of the counter. We would like to have a standard counter sink. And BTW, the wallpaper would give us both motion sickness.
This is a photo that Andrew sent to us and the more we see it, the more we like some of the features. We like the floating bench. It also reminds us that we want one shower control (speed and temperature in one control). We also like the towel rack above the toilet and would consider having two in the bathroom remodel: one above the toilet and one (possibly) in the far end of the shower to hang wet towels.
This shower we like for the large, patterned tile and the cutout. We also like the floating bench in the shower, but which is easier to clean: the floating bench or a standard bench that will have a support from the floor? Also, is there typically a stop on the shower door that prevents it from crashing into the shower head?
We will need a shelf on one side of the cabinet with an four-way outlet placed in the cabinet. This will accommodate an electric toothbrush, water pick, and hair dryer. It's OK if the door is open while using the water pick or the hair dryer. The goal is to reduce the amount of clutter on the counter top. We like these cabinet inserts.
Like the cabinets style and the pulls; the white is nice but we are open to other color schemes. Like the counter tops except for sculpted edge on the counter. Interesting placement of the faucets and the back splash. This would make cleaning very easy, but how much water would end up on the backsplash? We have also become accustomed to having a faucet that rises up and has a higher spigot.
Would a smaller-scale shelf-unit (with baskets) like this work better instead of an on-counter cabinet? A couple of things about this approach: wouldn't have to worry about the swing of the door opening onto the towel rack, a larger towel rack could be installed on the side of the unit next to the sink.
