For Hank and Susan
Like that the upper windows could be left without drapery and not get direct sun, but would offer light because they are under the eave of the porch. Like the horizontal soffits for HVAC rather than openings on an upper wall. Like the soffit lighting. Like the vertical spacing between the windows, which is about the same as the porch columns, so view is not obscured from the front door very much.
One story with wide back porch. Like the clean lines and square columns for porch. Windows high on the left are in tall great room I think. Like the terracing down the back yard, but with a rougher-cut stone. This loooks too much like cement blocks - too modern. Like the prairie style low pitch roof and the soffit lighting going down outside. We can have lights outside I believe, just not pointing up. Like the tall windows with transom above. In bedrooms and offices, I would like lower portion of windows to accommodate standard 84" drapery length, so maybe top of lower window is about 7' and upper window ends at about 9'?? Don't want windows that low to the ground in bedroom and offices.
Upper windows, but not white trim. Don't care for the wood at entry.
Double doors
Like the low pitch roof line, dark roof, horizontal flow of the house.
High windows, low pitch roofline, freeform landscaping, so the house blends into the surroundings. (Do want hardscape buffer.
Transom windows above. Not sure where we would do this, perhaps above my office door to bring light into hall?
Windows in roofline (see other photo of this house)
Windows high in ceiling (see other photo of this house)
Like the repetition of the entry curve and the front door curve, with the light creating a warm glow inside the entry porch.
Terracing for back
Like how the large windows are protected by the long overhang.
Arched front entry and windows.
Interesting light along edge of ceiling. Not sure how wide the opening is or how lights would be replaced eventually.
Don't care for how the stone stops, with stucco above.
Like the Austin stone all the way to the roofline in front, possibly in back if can afford it. Like the dark window frames and the light fixtures. Interesting terracing of cement on the left side for change in elevation.
Two story, but like the height of the entry way and the square columns on a smaller scale. Roof would be a good alternative to standing seam metal. Like the horizontal windows above the other windows on the left, but don't care for the lower windows (too open for front of house - no privacy)
Like the entry columns, maybe with an elliptical arch above? Don't care for so many roof angles.
Like the roof extension near the right, rather than an "added" roof portion that is attached to the outer wall.
Like the changing angle of the roofline (Gull wing??) Don't care for the posts.
Roofline, high windows letting light in from above, small windows above glass windows/doors under eaves. Overall, like the clean lines, roof color (if not too dark for heat gain), and the dark frames of the windows contrasting with the white stone.
Like hip roof, long overhang, low pitch, small square windows on left side, Large windows in front are too big. Don't care for high roof over entry. Do like the architectural impact of the front lights and downlights.
Second oven in island, facing either cooktop or hall side (not sink)
cabinet color on island.
Idea for piano niche. Light color (but not white) to contrast against dark piano. Short lengths of shelves better to avoid bowing.
Like long shed roof on left. Need something to shade master bedroom and office windows that would provide visual variety and dimension. Even better would be long narrow covered walkway across back of house from living to garage mudroom door.
Austin cream stone all the way up to the roof line. Don't care for board and batten wood. Don't like the dark wood over the windows, would prefer stone, possibly arched for some windows. Metal roof color looks good, but hard to tell the color exactly. Want roof not too dark, but not silver either.
We need smaller scale, but like the arches. Ceiling is too dark. Want cream colored stucco ceiling.
Like the arch, but not the particular stone. Like how the patio extends into natural rocks/plants.

Tall shower storage idea
Bathroom storage instead of medicine cabinet?
mixer stand

Arched window option
Square windows with transom
wood look.
