Molly's Ideas
#14. Positive and Negative space The nursery has positive space on the wall and ground near the crib. The paintings and images on the wall show positive space along with the crib, furniture, and carpet beneath. The negative space is the opposite wall, where it is completely blank except for a window with blank curtains/blinds. The space is balanced with positive and negative space, but still making the room feel full and cozy.
#16. Illusion of space, texture, and line The columns in the room give the illusion that the space is bigger than it is, the wooden texture makes the big space feel comfortable and cozy, and the vertical lines make the space look taller. All three of these elements make the space give off a comfortable and homey vibe.
#1. Small space made to look larger This is a small bathroom that is made larger by the glass shower door, which makes the room look more spacious and comfortable. The clear glass gives the effect that the bathroom is larger than it is.
